Thought it would be nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of Port Macquarie in the long weekend. The park is certainly quiet and still not far from the town centre.
However, it is in need of some TLC. Great location right on the river and the camp kitchen overlooking the river is excellent.
Many parts of the park where the residents live are unkept and looked like a Zombie Apocalypse movie. Laundries have old machines,over half not working. Suggest using a local laundrette. Amenities have seen better days and signs advising of gutter damage gave little confidence. Swimming pool water was clean but the bottom was grimy and looked like it needed a good  clean.
It was also the most expensive park we used on a five week trip to Queensland and back and was no where near like value for money.
Needs a really good revamp to bring up to standard, or in the interim a reduction in prices being charged.

In need of TLC to justify price. Good location.

What helpful people.  We had a special need for some printing and a Sendle pickup location and they went out of their way to assist.
Lovely riverside picnic deck too!  Great spot and good location.  It's often the atmosphere that makes a good park and this one is lovely.

Lovely

The park is primarily rows of cabins, with about 20 sites for vans, tents, camper trailers. Some cabins are permanent residents.  Positives: 2 great coveted camp kitchen. 1. an old one in the middle of the park, with bbq's, sink, seating, etc plus a big combustion fire to keep you warm.  2. A newer one right on the waterfront with a huge deck over the water, plus a large room with tables and chairs, next to the private boat ramp which is well-constructed. You can fish from the big deck too, which has fish cleaning facilities. Has a pool, kids, playground and aviary. Rear of the property is also right next to a reasonably secluded public park with covered tables and seats. Friendly and helpful staff. The holiday cabins are well presented. The toilets and showers for campers are on the small side, but they were very clean. Overall, the excellent facilities outweighed any minor negatives. I'll  be back.

Edgewater on the river.  Good place to stay.

We stayed here for a week in our new caravan while our daughter did work experience at Billabong Zoo.  The powered sites are large and plentiful.  Ours was a bit muddy after the rains in March/April 2022 so we asked to be moved.  The management was very helpful and friendly.  Nothing was too much trouble.  The amenities are old but very clean.  We were able to wash and dry our clothes very easily.  We would definitely stay again.

Stayed at Edgewater for 5 day great park,big grassed site,the amenities are a little aged but kept nice and clean.
Friendly staff great playground and pool for the kids.Good fishing from the private Getty on there grounds.

Killing Time

We had been the year before and it was good,this time it was disgusting and wont stay again.
First paid for mobile home with oven and they put us in one without,moved to the mh next door and there was rat droppings in the cupboard under the sink and i had to was all plate,utensild etc as the drinking glasses had rat droppings in them.
There was extensive mould throughout the cabin,stained pillows on the bunks and the mattress protectors were stained and torn.had a hole in the wall in the lounge room.screen door didnt open or close properly.
We watched the cleaners clean multiple cabins and they never washed the floors,only swept and never vacumned and wiped benches with a damp cloth.Absolutely no COVID protocol.

Disgusting

We spent Christmas in 2020 at the Edgewater Holiday Park, and I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable, relaxing stay. Situated on the banks of the Hastings River, a short drive from Port Macquarie, it has a number of various types of cabins and caravan sites. There is a pool, putt putt course, bird aviary and play equipment on site, as well as a boat ramp and two BBQ areas which can cater for quite large gatherings. We stayed in a Parkview cabin, which was very comfortable, and had all the necessary facilities.  All the cabins that our family used were very clean and well maintained. Colleen, the manager, was most helpful, and ensured that our sojourn there was the success that it was. Al family members praised the park and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. many thanks, Colleen.

A great place to stay

Had a great week in a very good cabin right by the ramp to put our boat in  We had four families staying all close to the water with a great jetty for fishing off There was a resident koala as well as rabbits and a pair of plovers wiith their tiny chicks

Great Stay

We found the amenities great.  The ward over the river and the entertainment room was a great place for a drink and a fish.  We didn't use the pool as it was July bit look forward to returning in the warmer weather.  Washing machines.dryers.bait.and room for the kids to play.  It was good enough for us. 

Good enough for us

We stayed in Cabin 63 overnight and it was lovely for a quick stop over. Staff were friendly, cabin was big enough to be comfortable for the night, showers were HOT with great water pressure and  bathroom was clean. Bed was surprisingly comfortable and we had a great sleep. The only thing was cabin 63 is right next to amenities block, which has a light on that shines through into the bedroom all night. Wasn't a deal breaker though as the cabin was great value for what we got. Excellent stay. Would definitely recommend.
