We absolutely loved our stay at Golden Sands. I don’t think we’ve ever stayed anywhere with a better view over the ocean, it was even winter at the time and we still loved it. We love the beach life when we travel so this place was perfect. I recommend!

Best views on the coast

We have stayed at Golden Sands many times over the past decade or so and love the true beachfront location. Our preferred apartment is 503, which is a beautifully refurbished 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment.

 It has an amazing view, quality furniture, new full kitchen with stone bench top and stainless steel Smeg appliances (it also has a Nespresso machine, which the other apartments I have stayed in there don’t have) and 2 luxe bathrooms (one with a freestanding bath)  and the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The sound system and the 3 televisions are a nice touch. Love the concrete floor in the living areas and the soft carpet in the bedrooms. So good to have air con in the living area and both bedrooms, as well as a full laundry with washer, dryer and tub.

It was fantastic to visit again after a couple of years to see that the complex has been completely modernised. It has been repainted, new balcony railings and tiles and the common areas have all been upgraded. The tennis court and pool areas have also been modernised. The place looks brand new!

The managers Barbara and Ernie really couldn’t do enough for us and keep the place spotlessly clean and the gardens manicured.

This is deluxe accomodation in a first rate location, with no roads to cross and a private stairway to the beach. Also no road noise and no cranes (there is a lot of construction going on in Main Beach).

I have booked our next stay at Golden Sands already and can’t wait to go back!

Wow! Beachfront luxury at 503 Golden Sands

Booked this beach apartment online for a break from Victoria COVID restrictions. Easy to book online, received a great price and the front desk managers were very helpful. Our 7th floor apartment had a huge picture window facing the sea that when you sat on the couch you felt like you were in the ocean. The balcony (facing south end/Surfers Paradise) was small but it was good for opening the door to the sea air. The living area was large and the kitchen fully stocked with cutlery, dishes, pots and pans. Car parking was easy and it was a short walk to many restaurants and cafes in Tedder Avenue. The boardwalk along the sea goes for quite a distance so we had lovely walks every morning. 

Our hot water service broke on the 3rd day and they graciously moved us to a beautifully furnished 11th floor unit with a north facing balcony that captured the morning sun. Although it didn’t have the large picture window facing the sea, you could sit on the balcony and see the beach out towards SeaWorld. We found a great local fish and chips shop called Pete’s where you could sit outside and see the boats in the marina. Surf Club is next door and they had a great menu too.

Great location and wonderful staff

We have had the pleasure of staying at Golden Sands for 10 nights.  Originally booked for 3 nights - absolutely amazing unit facing North East. We can thoroughly recommend staying here, friendly, helpful staff.  Clean unit, air conditioned and ceiling fans. Beautiful balcony outlook.  Swimming pool, spa and gym.  Walk to Tedder Ave for cafes and restaurants, or walk along the beach to Cavill Mall.  There is a park next door and patrolled beach area. Walking distance to Seaworld as well or public transport at the front door, bus #705. Main Beach is a cut above! We have booked our return already.  You won’t be disappointed.

A getaway to the Gold Coast

Booked here for 5 nights however after opening the curtains we extended our stay for another night. The view was absolutely amazing. Direct beach access & close to Surfers paradise & all other amenities. Some afternoons the lifesavers moved the flags down right outside our unit, it was such a treat although flagged areas for swimming are only a very, very short walk. 

The staff were fantastic. Right from booking our stay to the end they were all so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Our apartment didn't have a dust pan & brush so they went out & bought one for us. They were such a pleasure to deal with. 

The unit we stayed in had all the items you need for a comfortable stay. The whole building has undergone renovations. The grounds are immaculate. Swimming in the pool & loo king up at all the buildings of Main Beach was just beautiful@ We will definitely rebooking here! Thank you Golden Sands for a fantastic holiday. 

Stunning 

Very nice situation since the GOLDEN SANDS is located on the beach of Main Beach. Beware however of insomniacs because the drain can be very quickly disturbing (even closed glass bays). The cleanliness of the communes is more than questionable, the carpet of the elevator deserves a real refreshment and the local garbage can is to be accommodated to a minimum. Apartment side decoration is rather back to the 90s. All household equipment is however present.

It's a good situation, that's all!

The hotel managers didn't know what it was like to smile and less to serve the guests. I asked for help to book a visit to the amusement park and they gave me a brochure and no more help. The managers get a commission on the reservations so I liked to book directly. As soon as I entered the hotel, you were faced with rules and regulations on signs everywhere: in the lobby, elevator, room, no kindness in the room. In addition, there are security cameras throughout all community areas such as the gym, pool, gym, etc. If you can expose everything previously to focus on the fantastic enjoyment, there was probably no other way to spend our stay, but we've probably spent the last 6 years visiting the hotel, and no other kind of kind of kind of friendliness.
