On our way home from
cairns …What a gem! Clean rooms, no truck noise, fantastic pool for the kids to have a quick afternoon swim, friendly managers and a really nice feel motel- should be pass through C.T in the future we will definitely stay here again! 

10/10 Clean, quiet, country motel

We had car trouble when caravanning through the outback and Kerry was amazing, courteous and made us feel very welcome. Sourced information on transport to Townsville as we were quite stressed. Accommodations was very clean and comfortable. Only wished we could stay longer to enjoy the town.

Friendly booking and checkin; comfortable bed, quiet room. Great for a cross flow of air because standard rooms open onto the pool. Very clean. Good value for money and would be 5/5 except the bathroom and bed covers were pretty dated in my room but overall very much fit for purpose.

Good overnight stay

Rude staff, charged My credit card an extra $100 the next day with out speaking to me. I rang and was very rudely told it was for a damaged door handle to a back door I had not even used. Also which was clearly very old when I requested photos.

Our motel room was exceptionally well equipped and very clean.  I don't know the age of the motel, but the painting and fixtures looked as new.  There was a wooden front door onto the carpark, but also a double glass sliding door onto the back lawn and pool.  Unfortunately for me, the motel still uses highly perfumed cleaners or air fresheners.  Over the years, I have found these to be phasing out of use in motels  in respect to those of us with sensitivities, allergies and asthma so it was disappointing to be so overcome by perfume in this motel.  I had to move a single bed in front of the open back glass door and sleep with my head near some fresh air.  We had paid for two nights and we ventilated the room as much as possible but if was very unpleasant for me.  The layout of the room was also unusual with the double bed facing the pool, but the TV being on the side wall.  If you don't mind perfume, you would have a very comfortable stay here.

Good for some, but not for me!

The motel is located on the outskirts of town. It is comfortable, spotless and in excellent condition, with good sized rooms opening to a large grassed area with a pool. There is also a guest kitchen and pleasant seating area. Our hostess was friendly and welcoming and our stay was very satisfactory.

I rang through to book a room the woman seemed quite nice, after travelling on the road for 12 hours we were really looking forward to a nice comfortable bed to sleep in. We arrived at 5pm and I walked into reception,the woman was on the phone,when she hungup , she just looked at me didnt even acknowledge me or say hello, I said that I rang earlier to book a room and gave her my name, whilst she was looking on her comp, i was just making conversation saying that we had a good trip and the traffic on the road wasnt too bad, She said to me in a not very friendly tone "if everyone does the right thing there shouldnt be any traffic on the road"(refering to the Corona Virus),If I wasnt  feeling so tired I would have walked out and went to another Motel.The motel was far from being full but she put us near the end facing the main road, we entered the room, it was clean and tidy but the bed was like a brick, We both didnt get much sleep and woke with sore backs and necks, we had a 7 hour drive to go before we were home.This is why my reviews heading says Disappointed. Its a lot of money when you get treated in this way, all we wanted was a good nights sleep and not to be judged for whatever her reason was. We wont be back. We travelled from FNQ down to Bendigo and back up again, stayed at 8 motels along the way and this was the worst by far as attitude goes

Ok, so we had reservations at the Royal Private hotel, which was foreclosed on a couple of weeks before our arrival. After hundreds of kilometers of driving, we REALLY needed a place to stay for the night. After being turned away from several other motels due to full occupancy, we came upon this place. I've NEVER had an accommodation that was more welcoming than we had from Kerry at the Heritage Motel. We came in off the street after dark, and she welcomed us so warmly that it completely upped our opinion of Charters Towers.Thanks, Kerry, you're the best!!!  Our room was large and super clean. While it wasn't super updated, it was appropriate for the price. Kerry worked hard to give us reasons for staying in town and helped to book tours for us. We would  have loved to take the historical walking city tour, but it wasn't running on the day that we were there. If it was, we probably would've stayed another night. At any rate, we were able to do laundry and feel that we had a warm welcome in Charters Towers.!

Super friendly, clean and comfortable!

Nice spacious rooms that have been modernised, very clean and provided with everything you need for a comfortable nights stay. The kitchenette in the family room was great, and we loved how the room opened up onto the grass and playground! A shame it’s too cold for swimming because the kids were keen to take a dip in the lovely pool. Hotel has highway frontage but we couldn’t hear anything from our room so it’s a peaceful place to rest. Would definitely recommend this hotel to fellow travellers, and would stay here again ourselves! The lady in reception was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Comfortable, clean and very friendly!

Lovely clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was awesome!!
Hosts were very approachable and couldn’t be more helpful. We will be back. 
Lovely pool and lovely maintained grounds.
