I stayed at the Carrington as my nephew was getting married there earlier this year. 

Check in was smooth, the room generously sized, the bathroom was amazing and the setting was very pretty. 

The food at Flock was great too and the garden setting provided a country ambience.

Great motel accommodation and top venue for a wedding

Check in was a breeze, with friendly staff. 
We had a spacious king suite with a lovely little courtyard at the back. Shower is excellent with rain shower, waterfall and horizontal jets, and very nice shampoo conditioner and body wash (apparently can be purchased at reception). 
Comfortable bed with plenty of additional doonas if needed. All amenities in the room were well maintained and appropriate. Kitchenette with sink, microwave, bar fridge.  Very quiet, front opening to the central courtyard. 
A very short stroll to a couple of good cafes for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 


Well presented comfortable room

Clean, well laid out room, basic kitchen facilities (kettle, complimentary coffee/tea/milk/biscuits, microwave); fresh, clean linen, but the bathroom is 5 star! One of the best - a modern, huge shower stall with loads of hot water (and no leaking out the door); a large vanity unit with plenty of space for my toiletries bag (this hardly ever happens, even in large hotel chains), and cupboard space! Heater in the ceiling, fan, makeup lights - honestly, just for the bathroom alone, I'd give this a great review. The aircon and TV remote control worked efficiently - I loved the remote control for the lights on the bed. All the things that turn a basic stay into a really enjoyable experience.  Super comfy, centrally located (though be warned, there's not a lot of dining options in Bungendore on a Tuesday night). A great place to stay.

Comfortable, friendly accommodation

We stayed one night after a Shortis and Simpson review, in their accompanying function room.  The place has been extensively renovated in the rooms and outside in the gardens, during the down time of COVID.  Excellent furnishings, in muted colours of green, brown and black/grey (in the bathroom).  Shower has a superb head, with lots of hot water.

Note that it does not offer breakfast, but owns the WoodWorks Cafe across the road, where the coffee is excellent and the varying menu suits all appetites.

The function room served very well for the S&S review, and the food was very good.  Most ingredients and the wine are derived locally, as a matter of policy.

Beautifully renovated and highly commended

Seems like a decent room but that’s it…. No breakfast no dinner no reception…. I chanced my arm staying here instead of my usual Accor and wish I hadn’t. For the extra price I needed to pay for a bed and shower….sorry never again. May be good for a weekend getaway but no good for business

You don’t know what you don’t know

Don't let the green and yellow check carpet put you off. The rooms are really lovely and incredibly spacious, complete with kitchenette incl. coffee machine and a lovely refurbished bathroom. The service was warm and welcoming and we were given a late checkout so that we could relax after the dawn service without requesting it. Thank you so much for your warm country town hospitality at a venue that is both expansive but with gorgeous little nooks for for that feeling of intimacy   Dinner at the Flock was amazing and the breakfast in the morning at the cafe was incredible..

Surprisingly really lovely

Lovely location but expensive for what you get. Decor’s a bit old, the remote for the lights above the bed didn’t work -possibly needed new batteries but reception closed at 2pm, before we arrived.  Bed was comfy and the room was clean. Nice beer garden next door.

Nice location

We had 2 nights at the Carrington and were very happy with our stay. Check in was easy and Linda was friendly and efficient. We stayed in room 3 which had been refurbished and it was great, large room and the best rain shower. Our friends also said their rooms were good.
Check out was just as efficient as our check in and the receptionist was just as friendly. We were able to use our discover NSW voucher which made the cost even better.
Would happily stay again.

Great stay

A comfortable and convenient location as always.  The Carrington is currently undergoing some major renovations as of November 2020.  Our room was certainly an upgrade from our previous stay.  A well-appointed large room with a clean and well fitted out bathroom.  Enjoyed the large screen TV but did not make use of the  microwave and other kitchen appliances in the ample kitchen. Unlike a previous stay when we tried to get back to our room over a dark path that changed levels without notice, sadly, it was difficult to get the room dark with outdoor lights that stayed on all night, yes I was awake for most of it, and shone into the room through the venetion blinds.  The sliding bathroom door needed to be kept closed to prevent light penetrating through the frosted window of the bathroom.  Newly installed clever downlights above the bed were not easily completely turned off.  Possibly an adjustment that needs to be made by an electrician.  Guests in other rooms made the same comment about not being able to turn out the downlights over the bed head.  Overall, a very pleasant night in a central location in Bungendore.  Easy to walk to other destinations during a stay that will remain long in our memory.

Wedding accommodation - just right.

Fistly there are still christmas banners up in Feb! A bad sign, my first thought was that this was an indication of a lack of interest in their business. The bed was possibly the most uncomfortable my husband and I have ever slept on. I stayed here 20 years ago and it was lovely. It has certainly gone down hill. I would not recommend staying here at all. There are some outside renovations going on but they really need to concerntrate on the rooms and making them comfortable. You come back for a comfy bed. Not the most welcoming staff either and the tea/coffee facilites were very poor. Luckily there are some great little cafes in Bungendore with great coffee.
