Close to sale, its actually walking distance to the shops and bars.  The rooms closer to the front and the road have a lot of road noise because the walls and windows are thin.  Better to get a room towards the back.  with the walls being thin, you can hear your neighbors easily.  Great amenities, large common area kitchen to cook all your food.  rather large laundry area.  There is a gas station next door, which makes quick snacks convenient.  The owners are really nice and accommodating.  The bed is a little hard for my liking, but overall for the price you cannot beat it in Sale.  Long term rates are the best. 

Great place for the price

The Rivers Inn provides excellent service and cosy rooms but if you’re planning on staying in town for a few days, this place isn’t for you. Although it is a 5 minute drive from town, the room itself does not provide much. 
There is no sink in the main room so to wash dishes you’ll need to wash them in the bathroom. Room provides only air conditioning so I suggest bringing an extra blanket during the cold season. The bathroom has an awkward step between the main part and the shower which isn’t safe if the floor is wet or for children/elderly. 
Overall the Rivers Inn was average and would recommend for someone who is travelling into town for the night.

Good for a one night stay

Needed a place to stay for three weeks at a time (then one week at home in Perth WA) whilst working in the area. Stayed for about 5 months.
Very comfortable renovated rooms with new beds and quality linen.
Beautiful peaceful rural views.
Friendly, family orientated management and staff who made my stay enjoyable and a home away from home.
I am looking forward to staying again.

Pleasantly surprised at the relaxed and comfortable style.

We had a family event and needed somewhere for relatives to stay at short notice. The staff here bent over backwards to squeeze a large booking in straight away. They were kind, accomodating and just out right amazing. The rooms were fresh and clean and the price was great value. Family commented they will definitely stay again. So easy to book and access

Great Place

I cancelled the booking as the place was deserted and when I rang the number on the door they weren't expecting me. It had been booked and paid for!! There were no lights on and no cars around - it was 6.30pm on a Sunday evening.
