Absolutely beautiful location, utterly ruined by the nightclub level dance music being played upstairs which totally ruined my evening after dinner. It drowned out the sound f the surf which I had intended to enjoy listening to. Next time I’ll stay in a city centre, it might be quieter

Peace and quiet ha ha ha

The location and view is spectacular. The rooms are clean. We were extremely disappointed by the fact that despite assertions and advertising to the contrary we were unable to relax by the pool or enjoy a BBQ as stated on the website because the pool lights were non existant as was the BBQ.
It was high 20+ degrees at 6.00pm as the sun was setting and myself and my wife were hot. I asked the staff in the office where the lights for the pool were located. They (the lights) could not be found. There was the danger of a safety issue developing in the darkness so we gave up on a swim.
We had been advised when booking that there were BBQ facilities which was reinforced by the Motel's website. We had been to Goodes Butchery in town to purchase some steak for dinner, support a local business and celebrate my 65th birthday. The staff could not locate the BBQ. It was a very disappointing way to finish the day.
The next morning I let a staff member know of my disappointment of the previous evening and their response was" OK, OK, I will pass this onto management." I did not think this was a satisfactory acknowledgement of the issues.
If there are problems with facilities that occasionally occur the traveller should be made aware of same at time of booking. I was not. I booked on the morning of an afternoon arrival If an establishment advertises one thing and delivers another may the traveller feel aggrieved? Yes. I certainly do and it was an ordinary way to experience my 65th birthday.
An apology will not change my experience however I hope future travellers are aware that not everything is as it appears on the internet.

Disappointing Let Down

Position Plus !  This Hotel is beautifully position right on Sarina Beach ,amazing views , sound of the Ocean and Beach walk is a must .
The hotel rooms are basic , the views make up for the lack of luxury .
Beach front rooms are adequate size as is the bathroom , my only suggestion would be to update the beds ( sadly that takes money ) . The owners here are doing a great job .
The Bar and restaurant fantastic , food and service could not be faulted . Thank you

Situated right on the beach at Sarina this property is the perfect getaway from it all. Rooms are basic clean and comfortable with all you need, restaurant has fantastic food with room service available and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Hard to find a better location for the price!

Great location, right on the beach.

At the end of the road, and worth getting off the main road. We stayed here overnight due to a road crash on the highway. A great little motel, run by a lovely family. 
Very peaceful location and our room had a lovely view of the beach and ocean.

2021 Trip to QLD

This is a nice little spot. Needs some updating.  This is a little gem. 

The NO SMOKING 🚭 needs to be policed. 

People smoking on the balconies. People smoking at the tables in the dinning/bar. 
Nothing worse, than opening your door to get the beautiful ocean breeze and the neighbours cigarette smoke is filtering in or your enjoying a drink and dinner while watching the waves and the table next to you has a smoker, moves but stands behind the table. 


Nice Little Spot

At the end of the road, and worth getting off the main road.  We stayed here overnight driving from Townsville to Brisbane.  A great little motel, run by a lovely family.  Drive through Sarina and stop to say hi to the giant cane toad sculpture.

Sarina Beach Motel is great

Not sure why everyone gives the rooms a pass.  It must be the stunning location and helpful staff. 

Rooms are very dated in fact sad.  The worn carpet had a six inch rip on it which has been there for ages. The door is locked by putting a bit of chains  over a hook.  Very ugly latticed fly screens obscure the view. 

Shower was old and not very effective.  The only breakfast option was a $12 toast and cereal breakfast.

Disappointing

Yes, as most reviews have said the view from the rooms is excellent and the rooms are neat and tidy.  We booked a  2night stay and are still waiting for an information pack. We had no idea where to go for breakfast, or whether we could get lunch or dinner!  The only place to eat at Sarina Beach is the motel restaurant unless you want to travel 15k into Sarina.   But they don’t do breakfast .  They do a supply a toaster and a jug but no washing liquid and no plug for the bathroom sink (where you must was your dishes) .  If you’re not familiar with the area you will need to drive back into Sarina to buy breakfast, or supplies .
It’s a beautiful beach but the lack of facilities are a major let down.   

It’s not just about the view

Really can’t beat the view out the front sliding doors - it is just beautiful. The ocean is on your doorstep and you can walk off your patio down to the beach. The staff are lovely and friendly and always helpful. I do think it’s slightly overpriced for the rooms - the room I had had ripped carpet, the bedding was old, room could do with an update. But again the view was beautiful
