From the moment we arrived and took in the view from this serene and scenic location we loved it.
The room was spacious, very clean, beautifully presented and all very comfortable.
Terri and Dave were so welcoming and we enjoyed the many conversations we had with them. 
We looked forward to our delicious breakfast prepared by both of them.
 Dave showed his culinary skills presenting us with a different breakfast each day topped with a variety of the tastiest homemade sauces you will ever have. 
We will return for sure to explore more of Beautiful Denmark but especially to this exceptional B & B and with it's lovely hosts.

Our first B&B experience and it definitely won’t be our last. This place is amazing! Terri and David are sooo lovely….and OMG, the breakfast!! I was excited to see what David had created each morning. Even the cute lil fruit and yoghurt starter that Terri would put together. Their attention to detail is next level. They even leave a bottle of tawny port and cup of mentos in your room. It’s the little things that really made our experience top notch!! The room was large and it was so nice to sit outside each morning and enjoy a coffee while taking in the beautiful peaceful environment. We’ll be back! :-)

Forget the rest….this is the best!!

This lovely couple go above and beyond! The views, rooms, the company, the cleanliness, service and the food is hands down the best we have had ! The zucchini breakfast is one I personally won’t forget. If you want a relaxing off the grid country retreat with down to earth people.. don’t look any further !! Thank you so much for having us <3 

An experience and people you won’t forget!

What an amazing property! Stunning views across the valley and the hosts David and Terry made us feel so very welcome. We were treated to a very tasty breakfast each morning with most of the produce being home grown on their farm. If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful get away then this is definitely the place to stay.

Absolutely fantastic setting, nice and quiet but not far from lots of local attractions. Rooms were great and so was breakfast, Dave and Teri were amazing hosts and super helpful. Would definitely recommend to travellers who want to relax. will visit again if we are that way

Best place ever

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sensational Bed and Breakfast. Wonderful hosts who couldn’t do enough to help us with our visit to the area and as long term locals they shared their experiences to help us choose our destinations. Fantastic views, sunsets and breakfasts.
Great conversations with people who love their work. It was a pleasure to stay at this very well appointed accommodation.

Fantastic BnB

We are so fortunate to have stayed here. Terry and David are incredibly generous with their time and attention. The property is high with beautiful views. It is well cared for, clean, our bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious,  specially made and cooked by David. We did a mountain bike trip on the Munda Biddi Trail and couldn’t have done it without the help of Terry and David. I can’t recommend them more highly.

SO GENEROUS

I first stayed here for one night in 2019 when I was in Denmark for an event, and it was really impressive so I came back with my wife in 2021 for a holiday.

The setting does live up to the name - the property is on top of the hill and gives sensational 270-degree views.  The breakfast room looks out across the fields and hills, and there is wildlife all around in addition to the farmed sheep in the field - kangaroos and fairy wrens amongst the most common; we saw the fairy wrens pretty much every day, and on both visits at one point they came up to the window of my room.

The breakfast is varied and cooked with care - it's like a restaurant meal, not just something to fill you up before you head out to the hills or beaches.  I somewhat fussily requested something vegetarian without sauces, and on our three days there had a fancy omelette, a veggie big breakfast, and a breakfast based around a zucchini-with-spiced-veg item, which was probably the highlight, but they were all very good.  There's also cereal and toast for those liking a simple start to the day.

The bed part of the B&B experience was similarly impressive, I first stayed in Suite 3, their cheapest, which was excellent in a fairly standard design, and second time we were in Suite 1, their most expensive, which was excellent for a couple, and a little quirky in its sort-of-half-open-bathroom design.  All the contents of both rooms were high quality and it's one of the smartest places we've stayed, justifying the cost.  And there were views from every window.

The host couple were friendly and knowledgable about the area, very chatty on arrival and departure, and at breakfast, but otherwise left you to enjoy things.  There are also a few options to walk direct from the house which they were able to advise, and we had a pleasant walk down to the nearby dam before heading back to avoid the rain.

The location feels as if it is a long way out of Denmark, giving it a peaceful feel without the ability to hear any neighbours or traffic noise at all, but it's really only a short drive into Denmark, and even shorter to many of the wineries which are between Denmark and the property.  It's also the right side of Denmark for Greens Pool and Elephant Rock, so again you get the benefit of quietness without being too isolated.  The final few hundred metres of road to the property is an unsealed road, but it's well maintained and the whole trip from Denmark is easily driveable even after dark in our little hatchback.

Overall probably the most memorable place I've stayed in WA so far.

Do come here if:
- You like quiet countryside with a view
- You like to see kangaroos and fairy wrens
- You appreciate an interesting, well-cooked breakfast
- You want a luxurious feel to the room
- You want friendly hosts with advice on enjoying your stay

Don't come here if:
- You want to be walking distance from shops and facilities
- You want to be able to go and eat out at night in Denmark but are scared about driving rural roads to get back after dark
- You are picky about food and want to know exactly what you'll be getting for breakfast
- You are really introvert and don't want to have to talk to your hosts at all

And if you're a couple who want individual privacy for bath and shower, then don't pick Suite 1.

Excellence for both the Bed and the Breakfast, with great views

Terry and Brett are fantastic host's and go above and beyond in terms of giving you the best advice on where and what you must see in the region. They were also able to tell us about good 4x4 tracks as well as must see beach spots. I would definitely take my wife back to Denmark to stay at sensational heights, it is incredibly relaxing and the accommodation was immaculate!!

Do yourself a favour and stay here!

My oh my, what a SENSATIONAL B&B! After 2 days of doing big walks in Albany, I retreated to Denmark to wind down and I was so happy that I chose to stay here. The whole place was just incredible. The sweeping vistas of landscapes, the magical sunset, the starry starry night, the serene and misty mornings, the elevated unsurpassed beauty...mmmm it's the most peaceful and quietest getaway I had. Initially I only stayed for 1 night, but so incredible was this place that I texted my manager and asked if it's ok to take another day off and thankfully she said yes! Terri was very kind and gave me a last minute discount for my 2nd night. There's only one other couple staying on my 1st night (everybody else has left that morning), but on my 2nd night, that couple left so I had the whole place to myself! :-D

Terri, Brett, Shakira are amazing owners of this place (and their dog, Princess). They're so sweet, kind, friendly, accommodating and really showed the true hospitality. I do envy them :-D Their lifestyle is the epitome of what I dream of having one day and I feel very happy for them for achieving their dream. Before I arrived, I wasn't sure about the dinner issue. Terri clarified my concern and after I checked in, she remembered and asked me again if I have sorted the dinner...to which I said yes, but to my surprise, later that night, I heard a knock on the door and there she was handing me a bowl of noodle that they cooked themselves for dinner. Wow I was pleasantly surprised and touched! Thank you. The noodle was yummy. Speaking of food, the already included breakfast was also very delicious and it came with a view!

I booked Spa Suite 1 and Terri said it's the best room out of 4 and it's true! My room had all the views smack bang in the middle. it's beautiful, spacious and comfy and it had a huge bathtub with the forefront view of the sunset. I felt so spoilt! The bed was huge and so soft that I slept so well. My first night stay was the best because I witnessed the most magical sunset and had an absolute star-studded night sky. Second night wasn't that good due to gloomy weather which was weird because the forecast said it's gonna be sunny, but I still enjoyed it all though. (My only criticism is the radio and the table in the corner. When I went there to adjust the radio, I noticed it was very dusty).

The B&B location was also unbeatable. Firstly, the drive from the town was very scenic. The location is far and yet close enough to/from town. It's also such an easy and scenic drive to all main attractions of Denmark. I could wake up as early and come back as late as I wanted knowing that Sensational was only close by. Terri recommended a lot of places for me to go, like the honey meadery and the toffee shop. I tell you what, I had to constrain and quickly got myself out of these places before I made myself broke because there were just SO much temptations and I kept buying and buying HAHAHA esp the toffee shop. Oh what a place! Their toffee and burgers were so amazing! I also bought lots of honey from the meadery for my mom and myself.

The other thing I want to mention was the 'total' absence of lights at night time. It may sound crazy, but to me the 'total' darkness was something quite special. Turn off all the lights, stand outside and just let yourself be enveloped in the darkness...but don't do it if you're scared of darkness :-D cos it's really really pitch dark! I really liked it though cos it's not something you get much nowadays. Do also take a walk in the surrounding property. It's huge and very beautiful. In the mornings, if you sit still enough and observe, you would see lots of beautiful birds, esp the blue wrens! OMG they're stunning and so cute!

Anyway I can go on and on talking about this place. You just gotta come and stay here to experience it all.
