This caravan park nestled in a lovely tree shaded large area with water and lovely lake with fish surrounding it . Is perfect and the new toilets camp kitchens laundry . Are kept spotless as  Tyson Julie  and there team keep to this constant daily schedule. Been here 3 weeks it’s so peaceful and Tyson and his partner for there young age , keep an incredible tight ship, with an outstanding kind thoughtful nature , nothing is to much trouble for him, he helps anyone , if they need repairs and he can help , he’s there, his knowledge of just about anything is amazing. 
His employers should be extremely proud of him and his team . I would not hesitate to recommend this park and sad to go . Close to the shops clubs etc 
Sit and watch in peace the birds and wildlife . And the cost is amazingly low and affordable 
Yes you can have fur babies 
If you don’t find this the best cleanest park . With soft well manicured lawns , you must be hard to please

Simply great and peaceful

This is a great park to stay in it is right next to Victoria Lake. The walk around the lake is beautiful, especially at night with the coloured lights. There is a great playground, public swimming pool and skate park for the kid's. Plenty BBQs and picnic tables. You can also do a spot of fishing. It is only a 20 minute walk to main town, where you will find all your favourite shops. There are also lots of bush walks, our favourite is the walk to botanical gardens which takes around 20 mins.
Our staffie absolutely loves his walks.
You can catch Vline train spend a day in Melbourne it only takes 2hrs at a cost of only $10. You will love this park it is very clean and the sites are very well maintained by manager Tyson. 
He puts some much time and effort into keeping the park in tip top shape.
Make a point if you are travelling through Shepparton stop and stay you won't be disappointed.



Must stay Park

No fly screens on the amenities - full of insects and bugs, showers were not cleaned regularly - build up of dirt/ grime on the edges of the shower cubicles.  Laundry not clean - build up of grime and who knows what on the inside of the dryer and washing machine doors.  One dryer not working. Floor not clean. Everything was run down, clothes line falling apart. Bird droppings everywhere and tree debris all over.  Neighbours able to play loud music well into the night. The wi fi was terrible. 

Don't stay here 

The caravan park itself is ran down, extremely out dated and the amenities are bleak and few and far between. Water front sites are small with views of the lake on a public walking track. The park is close to everything in town so that was the plus staying here

Close to town, large caravan sites but rail  line runs 100m away from park so be aware it is very noisy when trains pass during  day and night. The lake with walking/ bike tracks is on doorstep as well as the art centre
The main shopping atea of Shepparton is a short 15 minute walk away from the park

The ladies at reception were lovely and helpful even though they were in a makeshift office.  The "lake view" site was a good size with lots of trees and a nice view but I'm afraid that where the good points end. 

The site is right on the water and it also has a public walking track right past the van.  Walkers do start their hikes quite early and they love to chat which can be annoying if you like to sleep in. The park is also on a main road which was quite noisy with hoons late at night burning up and down and the consequential police sirens going off chasing them. Counted at least 10 times in one Friday night stint.  

Then there is the train track that is only approx 100m away.  Freight trains go thru often and as there is the road crossing just nearby they let out a loud toot as they go thru it!  Another scary thing I noticed is there is no fence between the train line and the park so if you have kids, don't let them run onto the tracks!

Another problem we found was the ground we were camped on.  We had bought our Cavoodle with us and after 1 hour of sitting on the "grass" he was covered (head to toe) with burrs.  It was not grass, just a whole lot of burr growing plants.  It took me 2 hours to cut them all out.  We had to put down tarps for him to sit on outside.  
Luckily we have our own toilet and shower as on inspection of the amenities I found them to have only 2 toilets and 2 showers.  Would hate to have to be in them at peak times.  

Overall it is an OK park but not in a good place.

A little disappointing

Staying over Easter absolutely dismayed with the lack of amenities for the size of the caravan park. People who CAMP do not have a toilet unlike SOME caravans  This is a very large park and there is 1 block with 1 toilet and urinal and the other block with a few more and when they clean there is no access to any other form.  Disabled oh that's a different code.  Showers everything gets wet as there is no curtain space in between. Free wi-fi if they give you the ticket we were not. Instead of spending all the money on the eyesore of an artcentre/tourist information  maybe they should think of where a large intake of funds come in to the town which is through tourism. Make sure you bring extension leads power is a long way from where you park the van.

Don't go if you need a toilet.

The lake and its birdlife is magnificent and being right on the lake is wonderful if you stay in one of the cabins.  The cabins are fine - standard Jayco cabin. Minimal noise from the train, more noise from the birds but this is all part of the nature experience.  And not far from the excellent swimming pool and park and central Shepparton itself.

We stayed on a powered site and on a positive note, the site was very spacious and in a pleasant, treed setting. However, we hadn’t been told that there were significant works and renovations in progress. Some of the toilet blocks were unavailable and there were portable toilets set up to replace them. We had to peg out our washing right next to the portable toilets and large skips for rubbish. I’m not sure if the skips were temporary as well. If they were permanent, their location is inappropriate. The amenities that were open, although clean, are old and tired. The place definitely needs an overhaul and maybe it will be an attractive option when all the work is done, but we wouldn’t return. I think it would have been a courtesy to let people know in advance that the work was being carried out, and perhaps offer a reduction in fee to compensate for the inconvenience. The site isn’t lakeside, although it’s just a 5 minute walk to the lake. The train line is right next to the site, but to be fair, it isn’t too busy, so wasn’t such an issue.

Disappointing elements

Hired 2 site for the Australia day long weekend.
Poor quality sites with river mud and no grass, covered in 
sticks a leaves. 
Needed to clean the site before we could set up annexes and gazebos 
Poor roads and facilities.
Council owned park needs an injection of funds to be brought up to scratch
Council building an art museum on the corner.....What an eyesore......
Amenities were clean but very old and dates.
Roads unsuitable for kids to ride bikes or scooters due to their poor condition.
Bitumen cracked and pot holes everyhwere.
