We arrived in St George rather tired and were pleasantly surprised by the clean and spacious welcoming room at the Riverland Motor Inn.  An added surprise was the healthy blue tongue lizard who greeted us outside the door.  Julie, the lovely hostess, was thrilled when I told her about him... she said she hadn't seen him for a while and was glad he was still there. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was so generous when I asked for an extra milk - knowing we had a teenager with us, she gave me a couple and extra biscuits too!!   

Clean, roomy and very comfortable.

Riverland Motor Inn was excellent our room was spacious and very comfortable and quite. They have a beautifully appointed restaurant on site with a A La carte  menu. 
The owners were very helpful and offer sites and place to visit in the St George and surrounding area.

Things to do Sandytown River sunset cruise/ Artesian Thermal pool/Thaillon Painted silos/visit the Bakery/ Nindigully Pub  

Excellent stay

In July we were a part of a tour group staying at the Riverland Motor Inn.
Apart from the fact that the motel accommodation was first class, in both cleanliness and presentation, as well as being served lovely meals whilst staying. My wife felt a bit ill one day so we said to our tour guides we would have the day off the bus, we then enquired at reception about a taxi in town so we could go to the hospital to see a doctor. The owner Keith then said, let him know when we were ready, and he would take us there. Once there Keith was adamant, we have to ring him and he will pick us up when ready, which he did. I cannot thank the owners Keith and Julie enough for the compassion they showed to us whilst staying at their motel. They showed us real country hospitality is still alive and blooming out west. We will definitely be staying there again if ever we venture out west again. Thanks very much Keith and Julie. Reg and Cheryl

Good Country Hospitality

I was supper excited to stay here with so many positive reviews from family . It did not disappoint! Unfortunately I checked in too late to have one of their amazing meals that everyone has raved on about. But the room was great one of the best showers of my life with the amazing water heat and pressure In room 24. The owners really made my little girl and I  feel welcome a very homely reception. 

Amazing place to stay.

I have just been to St George Qld for a week working.
I was booked into the Riverland Motor Inn and in 40 years of travelling for work this would be the cleanest, friendliest place i have ever stayed.

Another bonus is that their restaurant Rivers is fantastic. I worked my way through the menu and every meal was sensational. Coming from Melbourne where we hundreds of great restaurants, this Rivers is as good or better. The chef Luke is a great at his craft and St George is lucky to have him.

The owners Julie and Keith were delightful as well. They run a top class Motor Inn and great people as well.

Best Motor Inn I have stayed in 40 years.

A comfortable, clean, spacious room with places to put things.  Food at the
restaurant was excellent and breakfast in our room was on time and hot!
Would highly recommend this motel.  The owners were very friendly and helpful.
Nothing was too much trouble.

Wonderful stay!

Stayed here one night as part of a bus tour. The hosts were wonderful, greeting the bus on arrival, having room keys organised for all. The restaurant for dinner was warm and welcoming, the food delicious and plentiful. The room was generous, clean and well appointed. Shampoos, soaps etc. were in refillable containers, so very eco friendly. Great tv reception. Breakfast was delicious too. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay here again.

Great place to stay

As part of a group, I stayed here for two nights at the beginning of a 12 day tour. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the owners were pleasant. The tour included dinner and breakfast. The barramundi for dinner was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. A good start for our trip.

Great entry to the outback.

We stayed here 2 nights in the family room. Very comfortable, plenty of room. Veey clean. The pool was lovely. The restaurant was closed but we had a lovely meal at the Australian hotel nearby. Owners were friendly and all in all the motel was great value

Lovely motel. Very clean. Comfortable beds, friendly owners. Highly recommended!
