Staff was most welcoming upon our arrival and continually helpful during our stay. We were close enough to the city for a skyline view from an upstairs verandah yet far enough away that the kookaburras felt at home amongst the gum trees. Room was comfortable; the kitchen was a great place to meet other guests. Shops and restaurants were but a short distance away on Victoria Road, and transport into the city was easy by either very frequent busses or a relaxing ferry ride (passing under the Harbour Bridge).
It was a refuge after each day of tripping around the city.

Refuge from the city

We booked ourselves the Treetop studio in the lodge.  It was very quaint, comfortable - we chose well.  We chose it because it was one of the few rooms with an ensuite bathroom, and was separate from the main building.

What we liked:
-  shared kitchen and dining area, where you get to meet other guests
-  free milk, cereal, bread and fruits.  
-  garden - very nice place to relax
-  room was very comfortable
-  lady at the reception who received us - Brenda. Very, very accommodating and friendly

What could be improved:
-  Wifi signal. Almost inexistent in the treetop studio, so we had to go to the main house to get a better signal

By the way, for first-timers in Syndey, Drummoyne is in the outskirts and will require a 10-minute bus-ride to get to the city center.  Fare is around AUD$2.00 and the bus stop is around a 5-minute walk.  There isn't much to do in the neighborhood, and resos are few.

Cozy Lodge

We stayed in the family room at the back of the garden. The room was comfortable. Small sink bemool in the room that serves as a sink. Fully equipped common kitchen available, where one prepares his own breakfast (the basic ingredients, bread, butter, jams, cereals, milk, oranges, being on site self-service) Possibility to wash his laundry without additional costs. Friendly home. You have to take the ferry (a 10 minute walk) to the centre of Sydney. The ferry is rather nice but the walk is very pleasant. Or the bus (a 2 minute walk stop Sydney). Super quality price report given the indecent prices to be practiced! We will return to it.

Great location close to the ferry. Lovely relaxed, homely feel. Great kitchen and supply of basic breakfast items. Friendly staff. Very clean - have referred friends!

Lovely relaxed homely feel

It's a comfortable hotel for people who want to be flexible. Starting at 7:00 you can prepare breakfast in the community kitchen. A few basic items are provided. Nice service staff who are happy to give tips on exploring the city. Unfortunately, the accommodation is in the snow at Sydney airport.

Great concept with the community kitchen.

Admiral Collingwood Lodge is a great place to stay in Suburban Sydney. Staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. Location not too far out of the city center with bus stops and a ferry dock nearby. And I will certainly remember the nice evenings with other guests outside in the garden.

Great stay

This is such a great place to stay. I booked for 14 people (3 adults and 11 teenagers) travelling for a sports tournament. It was perfect for us. The rooms were perfect, very clean and with everything you could need, many with gorgeous original features. The shared bathrooms were no problem at all as there are several and they were immaculate at all times. The bbq was great for us and being able to use the kitchen facilities.  All of the staff were very friendly, Brenda and Rupak are so helpful and always available. Location is excellent, close to restaurants, ferries/buses, the harbor and being able to park our cars out the front was a bonus. I will definitely stay here again if the tournament brings us back to Sydney.

Highly reommend

The staff is top-notch. The place is idyllic, unfortunately the hotel is on the approaching snow. The rooms are okay. The bathrooms are okay to share. It's a little far from downtown, but good bus service. Breakfast is self-service. Room prices are a little too high for the location.

A nice home

The garden is enchanting and in the evening you can enjoy the view of the city from the balcony to the first floor. Clean and spacious rooms. Common bathrooms always very orderly and clean. There is a common kitchen available to all guests ordered and equipped. The staff is very available and friendly. The city centre is quickly and pleasantly reachable by ferry (the station is five minutes from the hotel).

A pleasant stay in the green

Ideally well situated to cruise the bay by ferry! a flawless welcome, with a little French! a large bright and flawless room, common bathrooms but exemplary cleanliness and small well-groomed dej! we are at peace, and the garden is very nice for the little dej or just sit down to listen to the birds!
