Incredibly basis & absolutely no frills establishment. 
Very close to Chatswood Shops, Cafès & Train station (5mins walk).
Our accommodation was part of a extension to the main house. 
Minimal insulation so could hear almost everything in next room.
On a busy main road so road noise at night.
If you're looking for somewhere to just sleep it's OK. 

Incredibly Basic on a Budget

Anyone who has given this place more than one star,  has been paid to say so!
You will get a better sleep in the car, and go and shower in a gym, than staying in this place.... It is unacceptable living ... I don't know how I did it for 5 nights, on the 3rd night I got sick, and had to sleep with the door opened, as the smell of sewage was unbearable.

Poor, unfriendly, cluttered, dirty, no air conditioning, very old house, bad parking, no further recommendation, poor service condition unfriendly reception ps was there in March 2016 and had to pay over 1500 for four days and have not gotten a reduction to date and can't understand that this accommodation is still available in booking com

Rubbish House

Uncleaned old house no air conditioning unfriendly operation 16 days were paid but only 4 days there were rubbish.Parking must be paid by the thousands.Poor room service bedding was not changed.Dirty shower

Sugaring

Very concern about the electric in this place !!!! You can't watch TV and make a hot drink because the lights would be blown !!! Very dangerous . I would not excect five star treatment because I did not pay five star money but I alway make sure I'm safe ........not in this dive

Not for the faint hearted

You just get what u pay for but the location is good for the lower north  shore & particularly Chatswood wher u can walk but u need to be fit as it is steeply uphill getting to shops &restaurants. Free wifi is good & strong.

old converted house, small room, no aircon, but good off_street parking

I recently booked to stay at the Chatswood inn through booking.com. The inn took a 30% deposit on the total of $510. Because I am a corporate traveller plans often change. As was the case I unfortunately had to cancel as a family personal matter came to pass and I had to alter my plans. This was on the 22nd, I was intending to stay from the 24th onwards. I contacted the inn, but poor understandng of compassionate matters led to them charging me the full amount and not just simply keep the 30% (money hungry - my opinion). I am terribly dissappointed as this was not just simply a change of mind but a special circumstance. I checked the website and the rooms are all  booked out it is not as if a room is empty, shame on you Chatswood inn and I hope other people see your cunning way very un-australian......
