Stayed at the Lidcombe Motor Inn because of proximity to Lidcombe train station and the Olympic Park.
Location is good and the place is cheap in comparison to other options.
Staff was OK, and offered the basic requirements I needed

HOWEVER (!), the room was dirty.  I really wonder if the sheets had been washed.... :(
The fitted sheets on my bed where ripped with a hole in them.(WTF!!) and the corners of the shower where black and had MANY hairs.  Literally the corners in the shower where black with gunk. It hadn't been cleaned well in many months.
The toilet stand was badly cracked as well.

During my stay there was plenty of construct nearby so lots of noise first thing in the morning and plenty of car noise racing around during the night.

Ok, you get what you pay for, but you expect hygiene....
 If the lack of turns you off, don't stay here.

You'll be disappointed

We arrived at the room late. Upon pulling back the dirty bedspread I found long black hairs on the pillow, in the bed and all over the blanket. Disgusting! The carpet was filthy, it looked like it has not been cleaned for years. The bedside lamp was broken and stuck together with a piece of sticky tape, seriously, a lamp is about $8 in Kmart.
This motel is totally disgusting and I would never stay there again and I would certainly never recommend it to anyone!!

The receptionist was rude when we first arrived, we walked into the room and straight away noticed the stench that hits you, the bathroom had hair around the floor and we realised the stench was coming from the toilet that looked like it hadn't been clean since it was installed in the 80's!
The sheets were dirty and smelly and had hair in the bed. There was even a fingernail clipping on the bedside table. (See photos)
To be honest the room looked like it gets hired out on an hourly basis!
We had to leave and will never stay there again!

Dirty, smelly, noisy, unhygienic and the staff were rude.

Hotel was ok free underground parking , foxtel , very close to train station , pubs. Room was  little dated , bed was very hard. We saw some shady people hanging around for  number of hours in the underground car park. Would be ok if it were half the price would have stayed elsewhere but needed the location 

Ok hotel 

Spent a week here in double room on G/F.  The room is clean, tidy, spacious, basic & simple with kitchen (but without cutlery), iron, hairdryer, etc.  Can't expect much from front desk (esp. it closed at 9pm), the staff still helpful & friendly. 
A few mins walk to Lidcombe train station; 30mins train to central and less than a hour to Airport.  There are nearby Korean BBQ restaurant, Korean snack shop, Vietnamese noodle, Sushi, Cake shop, burger, Subway, cafe, hotel pub, grocery store..... etc.  
Suggest them to bargain with the "Dooleys Libcombe Club" and let their motel guest to have a day pass to dine & play there. 
The main problem of the motel is --- No wifi provided, only internet interface
