Never in my life have I ever had so much trouble trying to contact a hotel. After 8 phone calls, 3 voice messages, 2 emails; I finally got to speak with the manager of the hotel when I called on the 9th time.No apology for not getting back to me, no explanation, nothing! I'm thankful for the full refund, but it shouldn't be that hard to obtain it.

The term 'Hotel,' should be used very loosely, as it is more like a non-atmospheric hostel. You have to ask for everything (if you can actually find anyone to ask) and the rooms smell musty as, due to the noise from the main road outside, you cant open the windows to ventilate. 

All in all, the management need to work alot harder, to make this place a success. The rooms look nice online, but the reality and the service that goes with it amounts to a massive misrepresentation.

Try harder Bondi Gateway; don't let people leave with a bitter taste in their mouths after staying with you!

Poor Communication and lack of effort.

Worst hotel I have ever seen! Even after backpacking through SE Asia. It was lucky that we were only staying there one night, arriving late and leaving early.

I imagine this place would be illegal under Australian standards and it should probably be reviewed by the authorities. Fire safety being the main issue.

The place was disgusting and the sheets were dirty. The carpet had stains all over it. I thought for sure I'd be waking up with bites from bed bugs, but at least that didn't happen.

I used the bathroom simply to clean my teeth and avoided it the rest of the time. Waited until we found a cafe for breakfast in the morning to use a toilet. My boyfriend used the toilet in the morning and said there was vomit that had not been cleaned up. 

We paid $105 (unfortunately pre-paid) for a room that was not worth any more than $30 per night, if that. 

I highly recommend sleeping elsewhere, even sleeping in the car would have been better. The noise from the street, and light shining in made it more of a sleepless night anyway.

Not what you would expect in Australia - terrible place

needed to be near Bondi in Sydney for a few days with my wife and there seems to be not a lot of accommodation available in that area - found this place and 'looked' OK but didn't have any real reviews yet- I put it down to being quite new. 

Well it is quite new - it seems that they - the owners are attempting to get into the accommodation sector with this place.  My wife was very unimpressed and I was trying to be positive!

What can I say? - well it was not too expensive - and was very close to Bondi Junction,  that's the good stuff - but you get what you pay for - The room was on the ground floor at the front of the building - it seems like a 30's building that had undergone some renos recently. Our room fronted a main road and had a street light on constantly all night with unbelievable traffic noise with people walking past all night that at times seemed like they were in the room with us!

The room had a newish flat screen TV that was badly mounted onto the wall and hung at a strange angle! The Bed was a queen size that had no legs and was sitting directly on the floor! The cupboard and other furniture were cheepies from Ikea, The carpet looked like they had laid it themselves with little skill! My wife complained about the smell in the room - I thought it might be the paint but who knows!

It was a couple of hot days whilst we were there and the only air was from a window that we could open that increased the street noise by about 50%

All in all - pretty average.To be fair I think they tried to make it OK but perhaps lacked the budget or wisdom to do it well. The room was adjoined by the communal kitchen - this was once again poorly redecorated with an old dirty stove and second hand fridge with newish cupboards. When others were using it from other rooms we heard every word of their conversations!  

The communal bathroom was down the hall from the kitchen - once again redecorated recently but the toilet seemed to leak water from the bowl somehow (which was pretty unpleasant) and because it was the only bathroom in the place it was very well used and wasn't cleaned the whole time I was there. My wife said she met a couple who were staying there before us who went out and bought their own cleaning stuff to clean the bathroom before they used it. 

Would I stay there again? No chance!!
