I have stayed a number of times at the Chinderah Motel. Under the previous Manager Bob, it was always fine but only just - now Ruth has taken over things have changed.
Recently I stayed twice, once on the way up the coast and then on the way back.
The first stay was in a downstairs room which had some refurbishment and was clean and comfortable. On the return, I scored an upstairs room which was fully refurbed, was large and very coomfortable.
Nearby are a Pub, a Fish and Chip Shop and a Chinese Takeaway so meals are easy
I would recommend this motel and congratulate Ruth on what she has done so far - I also look forward to staying again and seeing progress

Pleasant stay

Absolutely amazing location right across the road from the river. 
Shower pressure was one of the best I've ever experienced in a motel.
Room was spacious and clean, bed was very comfy. Included everything you need kettle, toaster, microwave and full size fridge. 
Great value!

Amazing location 

Highly recommend this motel as a stop over  heading north. Rooms are clean and reasonably sized.
But the owners/managers are amazing. 
We had booked into stay one night here on the way to caboulture to pick up our new van.
We had booked in and an hour later we heard that the borders were being closed next morning.
We approached the owners and explained we had to leave to get across the border. 

They were more than helpful and offered to refund our money but we declined as we had used the bathroom and this covid stuff has and will effect them more.
We will be back to support a great small business. I suggest you do the same 


Right on the River 

We arrived earlier than normal check in time and they were happy to let us check in early as they had a room ready. Room was nice and tidy and clean and you could see that they had done some renovations to make it comfortable. Good sized bathroom, nice cool aircon and good undercover parking. Opposite the river which is nice, and they have a decent pool for a dip. Only thing I would like to see is a bigger TV and wall mounted in front of the bed. We would stay here again for sure as it’s fairly cheap and the bed was good

Comfortable

We enjoyed a quick stop over in the family room with our 3 children and the rooms were generous, very clean in fact looked recently renovated and comfortable. Kevin is extremely accomodating and very welcoming. Recommend for those short stays.

Beautifully maintained

Had a nice stay here with my family our girls loved the pool and the view from our room was amazing of the tweed river and mount warning walking distance to restaurants great pub and only a short drive to Kingscliff beach.

Great Location

Stayed at this Great Motel for about a week.
Very convient to the Gold Coast and Kingscliff in a great location which captures any beeze either off the the sea or the river of which also set the seen for some awesome sunsets. 
We had this 2 bedroom family unit which could sleep at least 6 people or even more as I think the couches folded out to form more beds.
But very comfortable for the 4 of us for the price.
Will go back.

Great Place

Awesome big family room !!! Easy check in and out and close to all the shops. Friendly hosts who looked after us. 
Awesome view of the water, pool on site where you can see from the rooms and beautiful horses next door. Walkinv distance to the pub. 

Family approved

Never even got to check in, even though I had booked in advance and you could see the room in my name, with my phone number, in their book, they had given my room away to someone else. I was then told sorry can’t help you.
