Lovely setting unfortunately motel is a bit run down. Good side breakfast cereal,drink and milk supplied. 
Room was clean but very tired. Small room compared to some motels.
Bathroom was very small and really needed upgrading. 
Rooms not really soundproofed, can hear tv on, or people talking.
Would not visit again

Warning to mould sensitive people. The family room has mould on the walls and on the curtains. The room had a very musty smell and we couldn't have windows open for fresh air because there's no fly screens. Noisy and the walls are very thin. We could hear people bickering at midnight in the reception room next to us.
Very disappointing as the location is amazing.

Place is not for human habitation, had to leave after one night. Room extremely damp and bathroom stinks so much my niece actually vomited, was very cold without any heating devices. DO NOT GO HERE. Total rip off, false advertising etc,etc

Was a lovely place to stay clean spaces rooms a manager that couldn’t do more for us we ha 6 people 3 couples a room each couple , you had everything in the room you could ask for .Close walking distance to everything bars food scenic walks it had it all great place would go back just for the extras in the room it’s a must stay if up that way

The motel is very outdated inside but has so much potential.  Great location.
We booked out all the rooms for a family wedding and unfortunately, the rooms smelt very musty, were cramped with beds and it was difficult to sleep with the smell.  Unless there is a big renovation, I don't think we will stay again.

Dissapointed

Wow how rude management. Finally found something pet friendly ☺️ well not so friendly.$40 for each 🐕🐕 so an extra$80 on top of the already s steep price for adirty dingy smelly little room. Broken doors dirty mouldy shower no plates and worst of all for the$80 nothing not one thing for the dogs not even a water bowl. What is with some places. If never go back wouldn't waste anymore money. Was told the rooms had been upgraded if this is the case wat in the world we they like before.

Rip off

Our room was huge (an unexpected upgrade) with a king size bed which was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The room also contained three single beds and a sofa bed and still had room for a large dining table, fireplace and large tv. A well stocked kitchen with lots of extras and a large bathroom were spotlessly clean as was the main room. A family would be well catered for in this room. 
Tall Trees Motel is situated in a beautiful spot with rainforest and waterfall walks from across the road. 
We would happily stay here again.

Rainforest delight

Very misleading place from website looks paradise with surrounds, but sorry the room was awful and the worn out bed sheets I couldnt stay even one night. Nothing offered when I called twice. You must have one nice room which you put on website as you show a modern bathroom in one picture and nice room but that is NOT the room you will get.
I've stayed old places before but this type of place you do feel disgusted if sit on bed. When a guest reports dirt to do nothing is UNREAL.
I asked for some refund from my two nights and told credit to return for one night, but not a place I want to return to.
Also seeing more old bedsheets drying in wind around back dirty, older builders, is very off putting. The net curtains covered in cobwebs, you've got a paradise location, it's almost criminal to not take more effort and care, even if my room was good, minor investments would go a long way. I understand why checkin is by phone and you do not see guests by putting a sign on another persons room window to call for checkin. That must be annoying for that guest.

VERY misleading DO NOT GO HERE

Loved this little gem. Clean rooms with all you need for your stay, and most importantly dogs are welcome. Great communication, easy to follow contactless check in instructions, and warm friendly staff who checked on us after arrival. Best of all, the fresh mountain air that just reinvigorated us. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend this motel when visiting the area. 

Clean modest motel - perfect base camp. 

Arrived in thre dark in the rain, so was a tad hard to find. Delightful surroundings, and birdsong in the morning. Noisy, nosey and frequently smoking neighbors prevented us from sitting outside, but we slept like logs and went exploring in the morning. Loved the little personal touches like chocs on the towels & all the info supplied.  There was also bats in the garden.
