Highly recommend one the most exceptional Air b n b’s - felt completely spoilt and totally rejuvenated after our stay. Our hosts were simply Devine - both funny and warm, looking after our every need discreetly for we were in our own completely private oasis. The accommodation had a spectacular forest-mountain-view down across the entire valley. We loved the state of the art design full of treasures, great books, a fabulous collection of music and the most incredible free standing wood heater which kept everything cosy. The stunningly positioned king sized bed was so comfortable, the linen and furnishings were all luxurious, a divine treat for the senses. Everything was so creatively considered, we couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. Thanks so much to Susie and Gordy, Tasmania’s gold medal hosts!

‘The Container’ - stunning eco b&b in Lilydale TAS

I would  like to warmly thank Suzie and Gordie for creating a space that invites such deep relaxation and rejuvenation for the mind body and soul. 

Nestled in what can only be described as heaven; myself and dear friend were able to let go and just enjoy. Absolute magic. A home away from home. 

From the eclectic, renewable, resourcefully designed architecture of the space that oozes creativity and inspiration from the natural world. To the  detail and thoughtfulness of the space. The bath outside is sweetly nestled under ferns looking out towards the valley;  the already lit fire upon arrival, the record player … details such as this  inspire one to appreciate  life it itself  in all its splendour and to feel truly grateful for the experience and care 🛁 🏔 🔥

The Trig a place where you can be nothing but present.

Benn lucky enough to stay at both the Trig and Container over the past few years and have to say Suzie and G's eclectic taste coupled with funky styling make them my go-to stop for accommodation in Northern Tasmania. 
(Have to say their outdoor baths on a cold clear winters night with a glass of red is pretty much my definition of paradise)

Best hosts with the best taste

My girlfriend and I had a truly memorable stay out at the Trig: container. The weather was a mix of foggy, rain, sleet and wind, and we sat inside by cosy fire enjoying all that the mountain could throw at us. 

The furnishings and layout of the the container seemed to fit so well and with such purpose. Although it's not anything like where we live, it held a sense like it was home to us. 

Fresh eggs, milk and bread were delicious and didn't last long. Amenities provided were plentiful and very interesting to use. The 'little guy' coffee machine was fun to learn, and produced a great coffee. 

Awesome outdoor bath, but we were too chicken to hop in with the weather we had! Can imagine it's an experience in of itself. 

We woke up in the morning of our final stay with a coffee in hand wishing we'd never leave. 

Couldn't recommend this place more highly than what we do now, you will love staying here.

Exceptional stay up moody Mount Arthur

Our stay in the container was beyond perfect. Every little thing has been thought of and we left feeling so relaxed and recharged. The supplied breakfast was beautiful, the linen so luxurious, the supplied games, books, puzzles & records were fantastic, the view was out of this world and don’t get me started on the outdoor bath! Simply stunning place. The hosts are kind and generous and ready and willing to do whatever they can to make your stay the best it can be. We have stayed twice now and will be back again!

Breathtaking in every way!

We had a booking for the 14th and 15th of June but were unable to take up our booking due to Covid outbreak in Melbourne. We approached the owner Susie for a refund but she failed to address any 'force majeure' situation where cancellation occurs due to a lock out. Actually, she made the statement 'Why are you travelling out of your state during a pandemic?!' Susie was quick to take my booking knowing I was from Melbourne. It's interesting as she was the ONLY accommodation provider not to give credit or offer a rebooking over the 3 weeks. 
Susie...you may present yourself as a green eco friendly tree hugging lover but you fester in hard nosed greed! 
I wouldn't recommend your accommodation to anyone. Claim lodged with small claims.

Dreadful attitude of manager.

Had an incredible 3 nights at the Trig Container. Sue was amazing to deal with and showed great flexibility with our booking with the impacts from Covid and the lockdowns. We are based in Sydney and this was a third attempt at getting there and so glad we finally made it!
The place is so interesting with absolutely everything thought of. Luxurious Cultiver sheets and towels, musical instruments to play and art supplies for drawing etc. Our favorite was having a hot bath outside in the morning or evening during golden hour. Completely private and surrounded by nothing but rolling hills and wildlife. 
Wineries and Launceston under 30 mins away. Would reccommend to all.

Amazing accomodation and location

We loved the Trig studio. The beautiful scenery looking over the valley and an array of wildlife wandering by even a small flock of sheep grazing outside the window. 
There are so many things to do in close proximity. Great wineries are only a 29 min drive away. A lovely waterfall walk and a visit to the lavender farm for the yummy scones  are also worth a trip. 
The studio is warm and cosy with a lovely outside bath to try. Try to be equipped with food and wine as once you are here you don’t want to leave. They do have a frozen option is you need. Looked lovely, it is $38. Also beWare you need to boil the water to drink so if you prefer bring your own water as  it is not supplied. We bought some amazing wine from the surrounding vineyards to enjoy while listening to old records and warming ourselves in front of the fire... perfect. 

It was a perfect short getaway make sure you wash your hair and iron your clothes as there is not a iron or hairdryer. Also no WiFi.  Small things to know!
Give it a try we loved it.

Secluded, cosy retreat

I booked 2 nights at what looked like an amazing place to stay. Unfortunately, Brisbane went into lock down. We had to cancel our 2 night stay. I realised that the cancellation policy was 50%, however I though that a sudden lockdown and not a change of mind, meant that the venue would hold the booking for future use or a credit of some sort. 

We had to cancel our holiday and lost money. We have rebooked to travel to Tasmania, but will never stay here, as I feel the place would have been easily rebooked and they wouldn’t have lost business and they could have facilitated us in these COVID times. 

We lost money and our whole trip. I am giving a review as I paid for my ‘stay’ last night. 

Charged 50% cancellation fee in COVID

What an awesome place to relax and do absolutely nothing. It was exactly what we needed. Wood fire, comfy bed, outside bathtub, cosy atmosphere, amazing view. When you can’t travel internationally why not be a local tourist.
