We had read the reviews and, yes, it was relaxing. However, the 70's decor is in serious need of updating. We were not given a cooked breakfast and had to request more cereal for the  3 days that we stayed, having been provided with only 2 days. Jeni made this request uncomfortable - I am unsure why. There are no clothes washing facilities in this cabin.

Comfortable but feels old.

The best rural views, a great cooked breakfast, comfy quiet accommodation, beautiful gardens, and a calm and caring host nearby but not in the same building. Probably our favourite country stay. Did I mention the view? Just lovely.

Pre-Christmas road trip

The location was easy to find but secluded once we got there, the views were marvelous and the accommodation was very comfy - meals were served in the house and were tasty and filling - our host was charming

Nice little getaway

Friends of ours were staying from Sydney and Jeni couldn't have been more accommodating.  We live locally but joined them in the B & B for dinner the second night.  I was expecting a good old country roast (which I would have been very happy with) but lo! We were served restaurant quality food with a smile - way beyond our expectations and our friends said nothing was too much trouble.  We have friends and family both overseas and on mainland Australia and will not hesitate to book them in here.  Thank you Jeni.

Wonderful little gem in rural Tasmania

My wife, daughter and I have just had the most wonderful "mini-break" at Plovers Ridge that was - literally - perfect in every way. Jeni was such a nice and friendly host, making us feel really welcome. It is such a beautiful area and the views are stunning, particularly at sunrise and sunset. Our cottage was spacious and very well equipped, and the breakfasts, and dinner that we organised on one of the nights, were amazing.

The value for money was excellent, and it is a pleasure to recommend this beautiful B&B

Perfect in every way !!

We stayed here for two nights, exploring the Tamar Valley after walking the Overland Track. It was just what we needed - two relaxing days filled with food and wine and an occasional outing. Jeni's cooked breakfasts are amazing and apparently she does dinners as well but we enjoyed cooking our own, with local produce, after having eaten hiking food for several days!

The aspect is lovely - looking over Lilydale and the valley on one side and up to Mount Arthur on another. We'll certainly stay again if we are in the area!

Lovely and relaxing

I am scratching my head trying to think of something original to add to all the positive reviews...yes...everything from the scenery to the accommodation to Jenis amazing hospitality is awe inspiring!  We loved our stay, the land surrounding you is truly beautiful and somehow calming, its a place that you want to kick back your heels and settle in for quite some time. You must sample Jenis cooking, the dinner bought to our cottage at a pre arranged time was top notch restaurant quality, leaving Joe and I to enjoy a romantic night in romantic surroundings...just gorgeous. Brekkie again bought to your cottage, plentiful and excellent again. Jeni deserves high praise indeed from her warm greeting to the sad farewell (till next time anyway !!), she is a lovely person and a joy to meet.

Stunning !

The very best experience of a country lifestyle! It's the highlight of our family trip to Tasmania.

It's located on the top of a highland so the view is fantanstic. Amazing sunset at down and in the night you can see beautiful sky with moon and lots of bright stars.

We saw wild wallabies and turkeies wondering around.

There are apple trees and berry trees. We picked some mulberries and they are very juicy and sweet. Personally I don't think you can buy berries like this from anywhere.

There are lots of things to do nearby, for example, Platypus House, Seahorse World, Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre, Lilydale Falls, Hillwood Berry Farm, Hollybank Treetops Adventure etc.

Jeni, the host, is very friendly. The homemade breakfast and meal are delicious. The cottage is very clean, neat and filled with sunlight. It feels just like a home where you want to live.

We will definitely come back if we visit Launceston!
