Loved our stay at Maple Ridge and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a weekend away not too far from Melbourne! We were 2 couples staying and the cottage was gorgeous and spacious! Had an amazing bath tub with views of the rolling hills. So peaceful and relaxing. Lots to do in the nearby area as well. Would love to come back!

Amazing weekend away!

Lovely cottage with beautiful views of the rolling hills. Communication was excellent and host very pleasant. The cottage was impeccably clean and immaculate. Loved the bathtub overlooking the views, would be nice to have had some bath salts provided. As per some other reviews, did not find the bed very comfortable, too hard and fussy coverings, each to their own taste though. Overall a great stay, however I do feel it was overpriced for what you get.

Beautiful views

Immaculately maintained and cleanest place we have ever stayed. Had everything we needed. Beautiful location although windy being quite high and exposed. A couple of comments though
- hardest bed I have ever slept on. If you like rock hard beds you (and clearly some folk do) will be very comfortable
- towels... i am not precious, but these where like drying your self with sandpaper (easily addressed!)
- over zealous owners... Phil and Marie whilst pleasant are very protective of their property. There are little instruction / warnings signs all over the cottage and outside, with a threatening overtone. They demand you remove your shoes upon entry, they send you text messages during your stay to remind you to remove your shoes (we did at all times) and watch as you enter to ensure you do. We are convinced they came in to our cabin to check while we where out. They send you an email asking you to write a review, but threaten you not to write anything negative!

Despite my comments, I would stay here again as the cabins are unique and delightful.

beautiful location and cottage

The hosts were absolutely lovely but not intrusive on my stay.   My cottage was well appointed, comfortable (including the bed) and immaculate, it is obviousily they take great pride in their property.   

Given this was primarily a work trip, I didn't really avail myself of the faciities available.  This will be rectified with another stay!  I have already been talking to a number of friends about going down as a group - the lawn area was made for a picnic.     Sitting on the balcony with my dinner/ glass of wine watching the sunset each night was just magical.

Definitely going back and taking friends

We had a wonderful stay at Love Lane Cottages this past weekend. Such beautiful cottages and surrounding grounds kept immaculately.
The view from our cottage was amazing with plenty of birdlife. Only a very short drive to many attractions including the rails trails.
We would highly recommend Love Lane Cottages for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Beautiful location

So grateful to have found this beautiful place to stay. The cottage was lovely, a good size, and beautifully furnished and fitred out with everything we needed. Amazing views of rolling green hills and sunsets. It was the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. The owners Phill & Marie were incredibly helpful and flexible with our booking which had to be changed at the last minute. A great location to explore the beauty of south gippsland.

Perfect retreat

The grounds and facilities are just gorgeous - as are the owners who work extremely hard to maintain the property and look after their guests! 

If you’re looking for a quiet retreat in Gippsland - this is the place to go.

Wonderful people, wonderful place!

Loves Lane Cottages (Sunset) was very clean, well laid out in a fantastic location.  Phill greeted us, gave us a tour, providing vital information about nearby towns and amenities. The stay was enjoyed by us, very restorative and balanced. Thanks for the hospitality, you could not help the weather, but my book certainly moved on a few pages.

Relaxing, restful and enjoyable

We recently stayed at lovers lane cottages, the cottages were spotless and in a beautiful location, the cottage had a wood burner which made the place 
 so cozy, stunning sunsets every evening and ideally located for exploring Wilson's prom. The hosts were lovely and helpful.

Perfection

I had the pleasure of staying in the South Valley Cottage for a month looking after the property and animals whilst the hosts were away on holidays.  It was a very comfortable stay with full sized fridge, oven and dishwasher.  The heating and the double glazing was efficient making the cottage very cozy.  The claw foot bath had a view to die for and many were had with a good book.  The beds are firm but comfortable and there are two lovely sky lights in the second bedroom to gaze at the stars at night (if a sleep in is sort, a sleep mask might be required).  There is a convenient courtesy bus which runs between the cottages and the quaint Meeniyan Pub (the food is amazing)
