I enjoyed my two-night stay in this compact but well-arranged and attractive space. Loved the doona cover with Australian birds and flowers, and the beautiful framed photograph of galahs on the wall (so much better than the "art" in most motels). The bed itself was comfy, there was good bench and storage space, easy chairs and fold-up table, bedside lamps were cool, there was a microwave and fridge with complimentary fresh milk, and the shower had strong water pressure. There wasn't any bench space in the bathroom, however there was adjustable shelving above the sink. Quality toilet paper - yay! A recycling bin would've been a useful addition. The motel has a pretty garden and just outside the unit there was a table and chairs to enjoy the outlook, including the sea in the distance. Also extra tables and chairs in the garden. The sliding glass door and floor length window would benefit from solar shades so that in the day, one can see out but no one can see in. At the moment, it's a bit non-private to have the blind open as people can look straight into the bedroom/living room. Not that there's people going by too often! The motel is well located not far from the lakeside eateries and a short drive or perhaps 15 minute walk to one of the beaches. Tuross is so scenic that most places you walk will be worth looking at! The owners were friendly but not obtrusive. Good value and recommended.

Attractive accommodation in peaceful location

This neat and tidy motel is spotlessly clean and has all the amenities you need for a night or two stay. Central to the eateries on the river, the boat ramp and beaches and local shops with a lovely view of the ocean on the horizon. The bed was comfy with beautiful linen and fresh pillows, towels soft and the room, although small, has been recently refurbished.

We have been coming to Tuross Head for many years and Tuross Head Motel has always been our choice for a quick trip and a short visit. It has been renovated under the current owners who are so friendly , communicative and very helpful. The place is very clean and well appointed with crisp /fresh smell of linens. It’s certainly one of the places that still has ‘Tuross Charm’ about it . Totally recommended .

A quick stay at Tuross Head Motel

Beautiful room,  lovely owners and so peaceful and relaxing. The room was so clean and there was everything that we may have needed. My friend and I were delighted to find a room here after our road trip.

Perfect

We were forced to evacuate our home in Bingie during the recent bush fire emergency. Not being sure where to go we sought safety and refuge in Tuross Heads at the Tuross Heads Motel on Trafalgar Road. What a fantastic choice this was. 

The hosts, Barbara and Michael, were like a couple of angels sent to save us and give us succour and comfort in a time of peril. Despite their own tribulations trying to keep their motel working with the power and communications cut, and all their essential Christmas holiday business fled back to Canberra and Sydney, they generously offered us a discount and free home cooked meals. 

As for the room, it was spotlessly clean, whisper quiet, and perched on the highest point in Tuross to catch the sea breeze. The location is perfect with the best restaurant in Tuross is right next door. The boat shed and boat ramp are just down the road in one direction and the main swimming beach in another. This is the place to stay in Tuross Heads.

We stumbled across this Motel after a drive through Tuross Heads - the owners are welcoming and friendly, the rooms are well equipped with great views!  

Also within walking distance of the beach, shops and places to eat, drink and mingle.

The lovely couple at this beautiful clean very friendly motel I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant visit. You always make me feel so welcome and the rooms are absolutely spotless... Love the doonas

Very clean motel

Very clean, super comfy room - recently installed quality air conditioning/heating, very welcoming, friendly hosts! The room had everything we needed for our one night stay and we were very well taken care of. Hosts have lots of local knowledge and had taken a lot of care in making the rooms feel really fresh. Lots of small details - everything felt new! Will 100% be staying here next time we come to the coast!

Super clean and comfy. Everything we needed in our beautiful little cottage. Best nights sleep in a while.  Owners are wonderful and let us pick tomatoes from the garden. Nothing to fault here will return

Best place on the coast

An excellent & unpretentious little motel.  Owners Michael & Barbara go to extraordinary lengths to make their guests welcome. 
Michael's splendid cooked breakfasts are a treat in themselves.
Altogether a friendly & hospitable waypoint for travellers far from home.
Highly recommended.
