What an amazing place. The location is absolutely stunning and the property itself is awesome. We stayed in studio 3 which had everything we could have asked for including a great breakfast hamper. Seriously good spot can’t wait to get back.

The Buckland Studio was amazing, peaceful and quiet with amazing views only a short drive from Bright.
Huge bathroom and very comfortable bed. A generous breakfast package and all the amenities you could hope for. Wood fire only added to the welcoming feel of the cottage.Highly recommended

Fabulous

What a stunning property!! We stayed here about 10 years ago, and have been trying to book in to get back here ever since - but it's always full - so we were delighted to return and find that it hadn't changed too much! It was still just as stunning as we remember - private cabins set up over a valley that is overlooked by the Mountains, and a beautiful and clean cabin, with all the full amenities you'd ever need, a gorgeous hamper of fresh produce & breakfast goodies upon arrival, and a bottle of wine, and lots of wood ready for our potbelly fire. Sunset is stunning, and there are roo's around, with a snort walk to a chestnut orchard with the most incredible changing coloured trees - and a stunning walk with more trees in the property from reds, burnt oranges and yellows. It's got the most comfortable bed, amazing kitchen and lots of space. The only thing i'd say is that there's no wifi and no pay tv so you're stuck with free to air or take your own plug or DVD's. Small problem, when you're staying at this beautiful property. We stayed three nights and loved it - and had lots of little adventures into Bright ( only 13 mins away via car) and the surrounds. We'll definitely come back!

STUNNING AND PRIVATE - Such a beautiful & romantic getaway!

This place is amazing, the owners have thought of everything, a lovely hamper full of goodies and views from every room including a spectacular bathroom. You wake up to the sounds of birds singing, and later in the day you may even see the Kangaroos jumping around. Only 6 kilometres from Bright, this place will not disappoint.

A Little Gem at Porepunkah

From the moment we turn left and drive up that stunning entrance to Buckland Studios, the magnificent driveway,  to the time we sadly drive (very) slowly back down to leave , we love everything single bit about our stay. 
The bed is amazing, linens, provisions, always topped up. Oh and the view, from dawn till dusk, stunning. The wildlife, birds are wonderful. Your own fire burning, (wood provided) , a great kitchen, outdoor  BBQ, sit outside and enjoy this magnificent paradise.

“ Miss my view!”

We spent 5 nights at the Buckland Studios and absolutely loved everything about this amazing place. The cabin was so beautiful and spotless, the view picturesque,. Surrounding areas were stunning also. The breakfast hamper supplied was so delicious and everything was provided you could possibly want. The owners Dave and Melany are so friendly and booking directly with them was very quick and efficient. Looking forward to returning to this wonderful place. 

Absolutely stunning 

Dave and Melaney made sure we felt absolutely at home. The breakfast hamper that even accomodated for our extremely hard dietary's (Gf and DF), the firewood for the fireplace, games, books, everything was available! The views are stunning, the shower immense and the bed is to comfortable to get out of. I would 100% recommended staying at the Buckland Studios. It is the perfect get away!

So relaxing!

This was our 6th stay at The Buckland though the first with new owners, Dave and Melanie, and our first in Studio 5. 
So my comments are mainly to compare that studio with the others as it's very different. It's larger, more spacious, than the others - not that they're small by any means. But #5 has a more functional bathroom (eg water doesn't splash all over the floor around the shower) and there's a small laundry which was helpful as our stay was longer than a weekend. It's also at the end of the guest driveway, so no one drives past when you're sitting out on the balcony.
But it's got all the amenities that make The Buckland special, including comfortable beds and lounge room; a BBQ on the balcony to prepare a meal of local trout from up the road at Harrietville while watching the sun set over Mt Buffalo.
It's a little different than when Eddie and Sabine ran it. Melanie supplies a sumptuous set of breakfast supplies, rather than the hosts having a restaurant style breakfast, so interaction with other guests doesn't tend to happen now. That's fine by us and we understand the time commitment that Eddie put in to making breakfast every day!
We didn't get to meet Melanie as she wasn't well during our visit, but we communicated well before and after our time there.
We will definitely return for visit #7 in the not too distant future.

Still love this place

We booked pod 5 and where looking forward to staying after reading the good reviews, the view where nice and the pod felt comfortable, however the pod requires maintenance, the ceiling and walls have cracks, paint pealing off the roof, sliding door has gapes on each end and when lights are on in the evening insects enter the bathroom ceiling also requires attention body products provided where nice but we did not have shampoo a number of bottles of conditioner, the heating in the bedroom did not work even after having it on for two hours on 28 degrees it was still freezing, the gas fire place took a while to heat up but also found the split system in open lounge area took too long to heat up. I also went to use the washer/dryer machine which was useless took 4 hours to wash and dry clothes even after the machine finished clothes where left damp. The kitchen require bowls, tongs, large pots, baking trays for cooking as there was only the very basic kitchen items, also a couple of extra wine glass would have helped. 
Breakfast provisions where nice, cleaning requires attention hair on lounge cushions and in laundry and on the broom.
I feel for the price paid to stay here maintenance und upgrading of appliance would make this a five star stay.

Nice view

Another wonderful recent stay at Buckland Studios. Wonderful attention to detail. Luscious bedding, choice of pillows. Decadent breakfast hamper to suit every taste. And if you book Studio 1, you have a huge bath to soak away your troubles & relax in. Plus some extra little luxuries of body wash, body cream, lindt chocolate balls & yummy cookies. Was wonderful to wake to the sound of kookaburras & lay in bed & watch the kangaroos grazing in the forest
