The room is spacious but that's about all.   I had to plug in phone and the socket was thick with dust, as was the bathroom.  I felt filthy leave, avoid. Tired and dated and certainly not worth the price.   
The only positive is location,  beach 2 min stroll 

Avoid if all possible 

The place is the best place on the Surf Coast, right across from the beach and walking distance (5minutes) to all the shops,supermarkets and food places you need.

Needs a good renovation, but serviceable for a short stay.

Very welcoming hosts, who made us feel extra special, it was like hanging out with mates.
The room was prefect, very clean, great decor, lots of space and a really comfy bed. 
Location is the best in town, close to everything. 
Perfect for a weekend getaway to the surf coast.



Great weekend getaway! Great location and amazing hosts!

We randomly selected this hotel because it was late and we saw it.  It is right across from the beach which is nice but it is in dire need of an update.  While the room seemed clean enough, the fixtures, rug, bed cover etc were so old it was hard to tell.  It was the same price as many places we stayed throughout Australia but not nearly as nice.  We plan most of stays but like to "wing it" too - sometimes it works great, sometimes not so great.

Very worn out

Had the pleasure of spending a night here and absolute value for money for the coast! Very clean and the new bed was great and slept so well. Room was perfect and close to the beach and great cafes. The hosts were amazing and we had a few drinks in the bar which had the best atmosphere in Torquay. Sad only had one night but will be back for sure.

Perfect place, great value and fab hosts!

This motel is right across from the beach and close to restaurants and bars. Accommodation however is dated and in dire need of a refurbishment. Bed was shaped like a hammock and felt like one. Was quoted $110.00 over the phone for a one night stay but charged $135.00 when we checked in. Okay but don't expect too much - you get what you pay for I guess.

Great Location - But that's where it ends.

Great location but is old, my wife and I stayed for one night and it provided all that we needed for that one night. could do with a good clean, having said this, the bed had clean sheets and the room was neat.

Great possition close to beach shops cafes and restaurants which we could walk to. It was cold and raining when we visited the heating was average and the bathroom draughty. But otherwise clean. Rooms in need of an update

Good motel for 1 night. Everything you need . Comfy beds Nice man owner. Very helpful. Microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and  even tea. Coffee, sugar and milk in room on arrival. Toiletries in bathroom with nice towels, shower was lovely. Great place on sea front. Car park outside room. Smoking not allowed inside rooms, but ashtrays outside with bench chair. Little garden area with seats and umbrellas.

Good place for 1 night

Location was excellent!!! Close to lots of shops, restaurants, bars and across the road from the beach.

I didn't expect much cause this motel was near the cheapest in Torquay. If I wanted to pay around the same price, I would have had to drive to Geelong. Staff were friendly and helpful. 

The room was slight run down but very clean (what do you expect for the price). It had everything I needed. Bed, shower (looks newly renovated), shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, table, microwave, fridge, glasses, milk, coffee, tea.

Our A/C was broken so they brought in a portable one which was too loud and didn't do a good job. We just open the back window which brought in a nice cool sea breeze. We had a great night of sleep!

If you want a very nice new motel, I suggest you pay an extra $50-100 more and stop trolling budget motels like this one.
