The room was great we had the lower left room with the garage
there was some Australian styled artwork that was made by the host (Gary) all over that was fun to look at and read as entertaining as the host :)
Extras included were a comfortable 2p spa, WIFI with TV and DVD, with basic home facilities covered.
Along with a cosy backyard area to hang out in and eat out food if we wanted.
The host Gary was a fun character to talk to and everyone should have a chat with this bloke... he is a happy person that really makes you smile and feel good about staying there
Overall great experience and would like to stay there again next time we go to Warrrnambool.

Beautiful and quirky

Run for the hills before you book into this disorganised accommodation.  We booked online, paid in full and soon after received a blunt and disingenuous phone call from the male owner telling us to "try somewhere else" and "you will get your money back" (which did happen).  The very next morning we received an unusual message from the same owner, sent to us by mistake, addressing another person.  It said  "to please not leave a bad review" and that they would "offer them half-price accommodation for another night".

We were double-booked and treated very poorly

My partner, our 2.5yo and I stayed in a one bedroom unit for one night and it was immaculately presented. Gary greeted us with a friendly face and ran us through the stories behind his quirky artwork. Despite being tired from hours of driving we had a good laugh and was certainly off to a good start. The units have most of the comforts of home and are convenient walking distance to town which will give you some exercise. The remote garage is a great feature.

Expect the unexpected

Thank you so much to Gary and his wife. We have discovered such a lovely and original place that we decided to stay 1 night more... Find below Gary the artist!!! For sure we will come back if one day we have the chance to return at Warrnambool!

Nice place to be and to see

Gary is a fabulous host with just the right mix of hospitality and humour, while leaving you to explore and enjoy on your own as well. The art work is unique and interesting making this wonderful gem a one of  a kind in the world. Quirky and interesting.

No place like this anywhere in the world

We caught the train from Melbourne to Warrnambool and arrived at Stonecutter's Inn. Gary showed us around our apartment in a very welcoming manner. He and his wife Dot are fantastic hosts.
The apartment was spotless and had everything to make our stay comfortable. We ate out one night on Gary's recommendation to the Bowling Club and were not disappointed. We took a bus ride to Port Fairy with great directions from Gary and had a lovely day. Dot put a vase of cut roses from her garden in our apartment as a welcome gesture which was really appreciated. 
Gary took time on our arrival to explain the stories behind his artwork which we found really interesting and creative. 
It is within walking distance to the town centre and the train station.
We felt like it was home away from home. 
We will definitely stay again and won't hesitate to recommend Stone Cutter's Inn to family & friends.

Great Place To Stay!

Had a terrific stay here booked at the last minute for a night. Would definitely book again.

The artwork was quirky and very colourful, making the stay unique against the colonial inspired backdrop.

The mannequins in the garage scared me half to death when walking to the courtyard!

Quirky but in a good way

We literally searched an booked on the way into town, and weren't expecting anything like this!
Beautifully built, wonderfully hospitable, eccentric owner with fun art on the walls. 
Had everything we needed. Little kitchenette, jacuzzi, carport right next to the door.
