The location was good and the room was nice and clean, we stayed on a Saturday night and the pub next door had a band playing so there was music until later in the night but was good music. 
Good pub food close by 

Good if you need a place to sleep

The reception was great with friendly staff, and the room quite good and well presented. My only issue with this place is the noise transfer from the top rooms to the ground floor rooms. We could easily hear snoring, toilet flushes and walking around upstairs. Some additional crockery and cutlery wouldn't go astray either; currently only 2 of cups, saucers, glasses and teaspoons. The place is central and we enjoyed our stay, other than the noise described. Thanks!

Lovely country motel in a great little town. Dog friendly and just the nicest, most helpful management and staff. Spacious, clean rooms, well priced and a great Indian/Nepali takeaway cafe attached. Highly recommend

A Great Place To Stay

Such a clean room. Bathroom was spotless. And this was a pet friendly room. We were permitted our two dogs in the room. Staff were very friendly also. Nice quiet area and pub next door had good meal too.

So clean

The room that I was in was very clean and the bed comfortable. The owners / staff were both kind and friendly too, so it was a good motel well situated for a country town. Ask not to have the disability room though - it was super hot. It has a metal room, is separate from the main building and struck by sunlight all day.

Nice people - well situated

Stayed here for just one night, live in Mildura and having dinner at the crown hotel, to stay in a room with late check-out cost less than a taxi home. Recently renovated, spotless clean, decent size fridge and microwave with plates and cutlery supplied if you're staying for any length of time... Shower was amazing... Owners are new, very friendly and have opened a cafe on site offering Nepalese dumplings, little outdoor eating area... Pool looked nice but didn't try it out.. Absolute bargain, definitely staying again

Great Sleep

The room had been renovated and the bathroom was particularly well done.
Didn’t really care for the bed.
The base/mattress was a bit low and old and there was no top sheet. Hope the doona/cover is frequently cleaned but doubt it.
Good value though.

Bedding suspect

I stayed here from August the 8th to November 25th.
Before I say anything I really do need to say, I’m shocked at the unfair bad reviews on here making this place sound worse than it is.
The complaints about the farmers, the work being awful, the cost, the fact they they aren’t making money the hours worked, jobs being unreliable, farmers being unfair, farmers not telling you your job has ended until a day before you finish, spending a week or two waiting to find a job (can I just stress the word ‘waiting’ here because if you aren’t actively looking yourself, you’re waiting for someone else to find you a job! be grateful! because trust me, at this place, they will get you a job) paying for your transport to and from work(which is nothing by the way, like $6 a day? What three quid for a lift to and from work in essentially an Uber, I see people complaining about this one and honestly get a life, have you ever caught a bus? It’s more expensive and it won’t wait for you and set off when you want it to).— get used to it, it’s the same everywhere for farming, period.
Don’t turn up with no money expecting to make some!!! Anywhere! you're going to do three full months, probably more than that, and you will be very lucky to have even $500 saved.
Do your farm work, with an open mind, knowing it’s just something you have to do, to get your days, and grant you another full year doing what you really came here to do, and try to enjoy the experience for what it is, which is essentially slave labour.

Farmers will post jobs to Val asking for a specific amount of workers, then last minuet tell her they don’t need that many people. Val, Paul, Leonie and anyone else who worked at this hostel did everything they could to find people jobs, taking a week/two weeks maximum, Val even employed some backpackers to work in the hostel to get their hours done and get them some money.

Anyway! The good stuff!
Val Paul & Leonie were honestly some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, they really did care about every single backpacker in their Hostel, they were the family I had whilst I was away from mine (even if Val does sometimes forget your name, actually Paul had an uncanny ability for remembering every single persons name) Treat them with respect like the normal human beings that they are and you will receive it back. 
The hostel is clean, it’s cleaned twice a week! Every room has working showers, toilet and small fridges. The shared kitchen- is a shared kitchen, other backpackers will disrespect this shared space like you wouldn’t believe, consider yourself lucky that it annoys the owners even more than it annoys you and they will clean this nearly every day within reason.
The actual location of this place is pretty good considering, walking distance there’s three pubs, there’s a really good take away called hot potato, there’s an IGA up the road you can walk along the river, you’re about 10 minutes away 
from Wentworth prison where Ned Kelly met his fate, 
theres a great public swimming pool and a skatepark next to that. If you’ve got a car Mildura is super close and it’s got everything there Like everything you would need, and if you don’t have a car Paul is more than happy to take you to Mildura for what you need, there’s also some sand dunes nearby worth a visit, few things to do in a car.

The most I spent between jobs was a week, I picked oranges on piece rate for a month and a half, then Val got me an hourly paid job in a packing shed a week after that job finished, even though it was hourly paid I was making nearly the same money there as I was picking some weeks. You will get put on a list, if you’re on piece rate at first don’t worry, there’s people who have been on it for longer than you and you will just have to wait for the hourly paid jobs to come available, and when they are you will get them, I’d say a third of the people who came in my time where lucky enough to start on something hourly paid.

Partying: through the week, you’re getting up at about 6am every day, and the kitchen and common room get locked up at 10pm, until 10 you can pretty much do what you want, the common room has ping pong and pool in there and it’s a really good space to do a workout as well.
On the weekend, same rules apply, so yeah, party til 10 then go to the pub, then if you want to carry on after the pub shuts you can go by the river or back to someone’s room as long as you’re not pumping the music.

All in all, farming is crap, but this place made the whole experience so much more bearable, great owners, good people in the hostel and generally a nice environment to come back home to.

I got all my 88 days here

Owner seemed okay, but I'm not a backpacker, booking in was easy,room was fine and was well priced, it's close to all the pubs / eateries , shower was okay, the bed/ mattress was a little uncomfortable. 
Plenty of parking available for a trailer.

One night stay

Wow, what an experience, got our days all 88 of them, thanks to this place. Met and become close to some great people from all over. The owner picks and chooses to only get people who want to work and achieve there goals, some people come for the wrong reasons but soon get weeded out thank god. We worked 6 days a week most of the time and on our days off had bbqs and lazed by the pool, gets hot there in Wentworth.
On leaving the owner gave the three of us a small parting gift for getting our days, thanks again. Did not want to leave but Asia is calling 😊
