We stayed in the Composers (I think it is called) room on the ground floor with a very comfortable bed and a walk-in shower.  The house is filled with interesting memorabilia an antiques and visitors can expect a unique experience.  We had had a busy day so retired early, but Paul and Rosemary were excellent and thoughtful hosts - not intrusive, but available and informative.  A charming couple.  We would like to have spent more time there - next time maybe.  The gardens are beautiful and have plenty of nooks for guests to make use of if the weather permits.

Comfortable and relaxing

Initial contact was very curt when being shown exterior guest accommodation. The facilities in the accommodation were very basic. No towel rail/hook, no toilet roll holder. Egress via French doors blocked by garden setting. Hobs and oven would not work due to incorrect wiring. Exhaust fan had to be operating so as other power points and lights would work. Phone to office had been disconnected. Contact with persons at the premise was very abrupt and a request to view rooms in the main building was a curt denial, allegedly booked out but no persons sighted. Would have left but no accommodation available in Launceston at the time. Worst accommodation have ever stayed in anywhere in the world.

Adorable accommodation for a trip to Launceston, very welcoming, clean and homey.  Choice of cottage stay or in the main house with beautifully decorated rooms with their own bathrooms/ensuite taking you back in time :) A bit of a walk into town but nothing drastic, general shops close by and located in a nice quiet area. 

Welcoming and friendly 

a well-maintained and clean house with very friendly hosts, well situated (on foot you're 5-10 minutes from downtown Launceston). the house conveys the charm of the old days - whoever wants modernity and can't afford to skip WIFI is missing the place, otherwise they feel very welcome

Good old English style - charming and cozy

We stayed one night in this hotel from 1881 and kept a great memory of it. In addition to a very friendly welcome, we slept in a room whose layout, decoration and furniture (including a baldaquin bed) attracted us.

Very original hotel in its decoration, very quiet environment close to the city centre and the gorges, warm and family friendly welcome Very good breakfast served by the owner always available and very pleasant.
