Absolutely fantastic! Conveniently located, clean, quiet and has all mod cons. The view is fantastic. Only downside is there is no door on the main ensuite, however it is tucked away so not a major deal. We’ve had a magical stay and will be back next year!

Lagoon Lodge 208

Hamorent was fabulous.  We stayed in Lagoon 206, in May 2023 , which was managed by Hamorent. The apartments are all privately owned, with different management, so choose carefully.
Hamorent ( Mary- the manager, Kim, Lorri and Cord) were all exceptional. Our stay was greatly disrupted by renovations downstairs (rm 106), directly below us. For example, there was persistent jackhammering, and vibrations in to the unit, so we had to leave the unit each day between 9am - 3.30pm as we couldn’t hear ourselves speak. That was such a pity, as the Unit had a beautiful outlook, and was lovely. 
The response from Hamorent was exceptional.  Although they couldn’t stop the work, the showered us with kindness, and provided a couple of outings to get us out of the unit. Very kind and thoughtful of them.
If you are thinking of staying at Lagoon Lodge, try any apartment managed by the wonderful people at Hamorent.  You won’t be disappointed.

Disaster averted by Hamorent

Stayed through Hamilton Holiday Homes and came with buggy. Couldn't fault the accommodation. Bathroom outdated but super clean. Apartment was spacious with lovely furnishing and great kitchen with quality appliances. Beds super comfy and the view amazing. Will definitely book again. Service from the Hamilton Holiday homes office was lovely. Quiet on the island currently so were able to check in at 11 and check out at 2. 
Can't wait to return!

i have stayed at lagoon lodge on many occasions and the apartment 104 is simply the best. fully equipped kitchen. lots of toys for the children. beautiful decor, as well a a buggy. a must to get around the island, to explore every nook and cranny. there is a shuttle service free to the harbour/marina side of the island.

A beautiful view greets you as soon as you walk in the apartment. We had a top level corner apartment. Well appointed, comfortable, spacious. Laundry needs attention- mould evident, strong smell. 
Buggy included - big bonus! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back. 

The best Family holiday 

We stayed in Lagoon Lodge no.02.

The check in and check out procedure, and communication before and during the stay were all top notch. 
The apartment is spacious and in an excellent location, ground floor and minutes stroll to Catseye Beach, with its own pool. 

The images online are accurate and do it justice. The kitchen is well set up for utensils and more than enough instant coffee and tea bags.

 The beds are comfortable, but the secondary en suite has a broken shower arm that constantly droops and could do with attention. 

The TVs are cheap and you might want to pack a HDMI cable to connect your media. Yes, I'm both picky, and an Airbnb Superhost, so I found it weird that $750 per night accommodation wouldn't have enough dish washing liquid (four small packs) or dishwasher tabs (4), or toilet rolls (4) or washing satchels (3) for three people staying 7 nights.

When I was asked about top ups I was directed to the IGA. The last thing guests should be doing in a $5000 a week stay is having to buy their own cleaning products - skimping on a max $20 spend by the host is one of those things that separates a five star holiday from a four star one.

Great spot, lovely apartment with a few rough edges 

Huge apartment!! 2 bedrooms, main is massive with ensuite and like a powder room area. Kitchen is awesome - one of the best - we had family in 2 other rooms and the configuration of their kitchens wasn’t as good or as big.

Spectacular view - though perhaps don’t get around in the nude with the curtains/sliding glass doors opened, as anyone and everyone walks right past as the grasses area that your patio leads onto is public space :)

I’d give the showers a 6 out of 10 - great pressure, though the head is low so if you’re tall you have to bend/kneel to wash your hair. Great water temps too!

These lodges are great value because they come with a buggy rather than you having to hire one.

Tip - if you think you have no cutlery, check the dishwasher!

We are the travelling companions of Dougal from London and can confirm the lodge apartment number was 007 as this was omitted from 21/11/18. We can also confirm what has been written previously. Please also find missing pictures. 

Lagoon lodge 007

A Stunning apartment well appointed in a good location and with a beautiful outlook. It comes with a substantial starter pack which would benefit from a small carton of milk. 
The golf buggy is much appreciated as it’s a good walk to the Marina. 
We are four senior experienced travellers making our way around Australia and New Zealand and we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment on our arrival so much so that we spoke to the agent/house keeping who I must admit were very prompt in sending a team to clean the property. We also requested a complete set of towels and toilet paper for the master bedroom as non had been appointed we also requested an extra face cloth and extra hand towels as only one per couple had been allocated and one of the face cloths was heavily stained. We were told that this would be dealt with. 
Unfortunately these didn’t arrive for two days and only after a further request. 
Our main concerns were despite the apartment receiving a second clean we found the bathroom, kitchen and other areas to be dirty and in dire need of a deep clean. 
I think that the apartment could also benefit from some TLC as the door to the second bedroom wouldn’t latch and would blow open unless a bag was placed behind it. The ironing board cover in our opinion would be best replaced and two of the dining room chairs need replacement as large amounts of the leather finish are coming off. 
The WiFi which we understood to be a purchase as you go was impossible to link to even though we followed the instructions and we finished up purchasing a package from the tour desk in town. 
The floor in the second bathroom is a designer finish which makes it difficult to clean except on your hands and knees and as that isn’t the way it’s cleaned, it was filthy. The high level window ledge had not been cleaned I suspect for quite some time. The chrome waste pipe on the basin which you can’t help but look at when you are sitting on the toilet was corroded and dusty. 
The mirror is de laminating, the sink is cracked, the tap nozzle needs cleaning as it squirts water over the top of the sink and the grout along the bath could do with some attention. 
I have tried to give an appraisal for the benefit of the owners who refer to this holiday home as renovated and may not be aware of the condition. 

Stunning apartment 

Lagoon Lodge 007 is comfortable enough. We stayed with our young family of five for a week over apr/may  2024. Aspects of the unit are a little dated and could use some TLC, but no major issues in regards to the unit itself during our stay. Some coffee pods for the pod machine and maybe some milk on arrival could be good touches. 

BUT note: each unit in the complex is individually owned so do your research on the property management. We booked Lagoon Lodge 007 with Hamilton Island Holiday Homes. It saddens me to say that our experience with Hamilton Island Holiday Homes tainted our family holiday that we had been so looking forward to.

We were notified 5 days before our stay that there would be drilling operations into the roof and floor of the room next door to us. Now instead of offering to accommodate us in some way (for example, I have read of other property management teams offering day outings to their clientele affected by similar works) we were simply reminded that because units in the complex were individually owned, there was nothing they could do as they had no authority over the works. After we expressed our immense frustration we were offered a 10% discount on our stay, but it was disappointing to have to complain before anything was offered our way. And frankly, I can't believe we were not relocated as I believe this could have been possible in april/may outside of school holiday time.

During our stay, we got way more than we bargained for. In addition to works next door, there were also jackhammering operations in the unit directly above us. When we contacted Hamilton Island Holiday Homes, they had no awareness of these works. On one day when my husband contacted them because the works were so loud, they did not pick up our call and routinely took several hours to respond via an email. Our 2 year old was trying to nap while the noise level was averaging 85db, peaking at over 100db. The apartment was essentially a construction site, and I can't believe that it is even legal to charge for something that clearly is not safe to be in, or that hearing protection was not offered. On another day, we came back from a half day boat trip unable to replenish our drink bottles because we had no cold water to the apartment. Again, Hamilton Island Holiday Homes were not aware that this would be occuring. On this occasion (and others) they said they would follow up on the issue and advise us on updates, which rarely occurred.

Overall, very disappointed with the communication and customer service from Hamilton Island Holiday Homes during our family vacation. The line "that there is nothing they can do" in this situation is just not acceptable, and I have no doubt that substantially more could have been done to make the stay for our young family of five far more comfortable and worthy of the money we spent.
