Really well located in the centre of everything. And off street parking was really good to have. Bed comfy. Room ckean. Quiet. Staff very good. Had a great stay. Would stay again. Lots of places to eat only minutes walk away. Nice hot showers and well maintained

Top location

How this place can have a 2 star rating is beyond me.  Room smelt, went and bought a can of Glen 20.  1970s furniture, slashed seat, rusty table stand., stains on carpet, totally noisey and inadequate AC, bedside tables with trim peeling off and missing handles, I have stayed in 3rd world hotels better than this. Total bloody disgrace and should be bulldozed. Room 15 June 2022.

How they can even charge for these rooms is a disgrace.  Aren't there standards that have to be maintained within the Motel industry, clearly this one has surpassed any inspection.  These rooms are a health hazard and a work place health and safety issue, just waiting for an accident to occur.  Even after complaining and leaving, still no regard, no refund, nothing.  Do not stay at this motel.

Absolutely disgraceful!

Very dingy and grotty. I’m surprised it passes any kind of standard to operate.Huge stains over the smelly carpets. Rusty dinged up fridge. Broken soap dish in mildewed bathroom, very loud thumping music from the night-club next door until 3.00am. Horrible experience



Appalling

My Mum and I stayed for one Saturday night and the accommodation was exactly as advertised. Photos are accurate and location was ideal. 

We walked to our Family function held at the Surf Club. 

Check in lady was pleasant and room was clean and safe. 

We are returning in 4 weeks for another nights stay. 

$125.00 per night for a double and single bed twin is fantastic value. 

Overnight stay

Having grown up in and around Wollongong, it was great to return for a 10 day stay! We cannot speak highly enough of the Motel, and both reception, and housekeeping staff, and already, we're looking forward to coming back. Knowing the shower was going to be hot, and we were guaranteed a good nights sleep, (even when the bar was busy), made our stay most pleasurable.

Great memories!!! We'll be Back!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights, not over a weekend, as a mini-holiday.  Our plans were just to 'wander' around the heart of Wollongong and see what's there.  For this purpose, this motel was the perfect choice.  Good points are the reasonable price, availability of two beds instead of a double, easy walk to shopping, dining, clubs, the beach, and historical points of interest, off-street secure parking, very friendly staff.   The bad points were a lack of basic amenities such as no shampoo-conditioner (we didn't bother bringing our own as most places now have it .. but the grocery was just up the street so not a deal breaker either), only one clothes hanger, the closet which could hold a long dress or skirt was also where the ironing board, etc was stored, no clock, no outdoor amenities at all, not even a place to sit.    So, depending on your needs - this one could go either way.  The off-street secure parking was a huge plus though I have to admit.

Three Day Mid Week Mini-holiday

I stayed here with my friend on a Friday night to attend a concert nearby. We paid $100 for a room with a single and double bed in walking distance from the venue in the middle of Wollongong. 
Yes, it is an older property but our room was pleasantly decorated and very clean.  A gated parking area gave us peace of mind about our cars. Supermarkets, cafes and bars are all nearby.
The staff we met were helpful and friendly.  We will definitely return.  

Great value 

As the title of my review says, "you get what you pay for"

We booked a room with our eyes fully open.  we read mixed reviews about the motel with a lareg number of negative reviews. 

The location was a deal clincher for us as it was fairly central and an easy walk to naywhere of significance in the Wollongong CBD.  The room charge was also on the lower side of medium, so we were pretty happy.

On a negative note.  The place is fairly tired, but clean.  We were suprised that shampoo wasnt available in bathrooms but we could live with that.  Whilst the rooms were non smoking, there were ashtrays outside rooms.  We had to ask a person to sit in front of their own room to have a ciggie as the smoke would "waft" into our room. I guess it would have been better to have a designated smoking area away from the rooms.

The motel definitely needs a makeover, but would I stay there again?  I guess I would as the staff were all very friendly and were always avaialable to assist with any enquiry.  The price to stay was good, and even though there was a club raging into the night at the front of the motel, the noise back in the room was minimal.ike 

I guess that with a place like this, you need to do your homework as you dont want to be feeling like you have been sold a lemon.  If you dont expect much, this can be a great place to stay

Seriously grotty motel. Room 12A....
No shampoo/conditioner supplied.
Broken lights.
Terrible bed.
Shabby furniture.
Ashtrays everywhere outside.
Lamp not working by bedside table.
Fridge not turned on.
Noisy at night.
We have stayed all over the world at various motel star ratings. Never been anywhere that doesn’t supply shampoo/conditioner in little bottles.
We will use AirBnB next time. (We have our own AirBnB and ours is above and beyond this motel. 
Overall beyond it’s use by date! Pull it down and start again!
