We stayed 4 nights and it was what we expected.
Nice view to the beach and sea even we did not have beach front room.
Friendly staff.
Room was ok, has seen better days.
It was clean and everything worked as expected.
You got what you paid for.
Kengoroos on yard during the night was extra bonus🙂.


Good location next to the beach

Beautiful location and great swimming beach across the road 
The view is spectacular and could see dolphins and whales most days 
We booked for 2 nights and added an extra night to enjoy the location at Smiths Beach. Upstairs apartment views are amazing 
Great walks accessible from the resort or a short drive to other beaches. The apartment (2 bedrooms) was spacious enough and clean. Shower and bathroom was the best. Deck had both chairs and day bed to relax 

Canal Rocks Resort - Amazing view and beautiful location

Great place to stay,  the room was comfortable and the facilities were fine.  Right on Smiths beach.  Good value for money very clean and tidy. Our apartment was on the ground floor (apartment 10) and had a reasonable view across to the ocean,  well tended  gardens accessed from the rear of the apartment.

Relaxing place to stay

We thought as we were a little to the side and back of these Apartments, we would only have a small view of the ocean out our kitchen window but were happy to see we actually had a large view from our living area and balcony too.  The balcony is so great for lying on the deck chairs in the afternoon sun and sunset.  These are not super modern Apartments (though some have been more recently built and are) but they are very spacious, clean and quiet.  The staff are great too.  There are also places nearby where you can eat or buy a coffee.

We stayed for a week in March and overall had a great time. We have been fortunate enough to have now stayed at all three accommodation options at Smith’s Beach and Canal Rocks offers the best value for money in my opinion. We stayed in unit 15, which is one of the standard units. The view was absolutely spectacular. Yes, the decor is a bit outdated but I think the price reflects this. 

What is unforgivable though is the rock hard bed. As I lay awake for hours on the first night, I honestly thought there must have been some mistake and the cleaner had forgotten to add a mattress topper, or something had happened to the normal mattress and they’d been forced to pull this mattress out of storage. I couldn’t imagine a world where a mattress this uncomfortable would be acceptable in any paying guest and I had all night to think about it and contemplate all manner of excuses for why this might have happened and thought for sure it would be rectified the next day. 

I called reception on day two to ask about it and they seemed utterly confused, as if no one had ever had an issue with the mattress before. When I asked if they had a spare mattress topper anywhere the lady said no but they’d look into it and perhaps they could put an extra quilt on top of the mattress instead. I checked the bed later and they had put a single wool blanket down on top of the mattress and not a fluffy quilt which I had been hoping for in the very least. Surprisingly this did actually make a bit of a difference but this is perhaps even further of an indictment of how bad this mattress was that a single flat blanket managed to take the edge off the bone bruising hardness. No one from management ever reached out to ask me if this rectified the situation.

I hate complaining and had already found dealing with the staff fairly unproductive, so I was pretty sure further complaints would have only resulted in unpleasant feelings on both sides. As this would have spoiled our holiday further, I decided just to try to deal with it. We still did have a great holiday, although not quite as restful as I would have liked. Please, please, please for the love of god, get new mattresses so no one else has to suffer like we did!

Great but bed desperately needs replacing

Great ocean front accommodation with easy beach access.
Clean apartments, nothing too fancy but all you need in a wonderful part of the south west. 
BBQ out back, Lamont restaurant next door for dinner and morning coffee. 
Great value and plenty of whales swimming by heading south for summer.

Best beach front apartments for families.

Stayed with 2 friends at these apartments.  Had 2 bed apartment on top floor. Hard to beat the uninterrupted beach views mixed with perfect weather and very little wind. Very comfortable apartment but spent most of our time on the beach or on the balcony looking at the beach! Better views here than nearby 5 star resort. Access to beach out front and short stroll to resort restaurant if you can't be bothered cooking. The apartment is fully self contained and very comfortable with a big open plan living area and decent size bathroom. Very friendly staff on reception and housekeeper. The kids will love the kangaroos that come into the grounds at night. Nearby beach boardwalk is perfect for star gazing at night. Sooo Australian!

Terrific girls week, best beach 

By far the best location in Yallingup. We stayed in the 2 bed room executive apartment and the views were breathtaking. I truly loved the time spent there, everything was perfect and the ladies at the front desks are lovely 😊 will definitely be back. My toddler had a blast ❤️❤️

Canal Rock Beach Front Apartments have the best location with uninterrupted ocean views, spacious apartments, clean and comfortable.
They are individually owned so may differ from one to the next. Ours was No.5 and was very comfortable and clean.
Just needs a refresh with aging kitchen, no dishwasher, bathrooms and ensuite have been redone however fairly basic.
Queen bed in master.
Recommend staying here for sure bit maybe check each apartment for services and quality.

Best location on the south coast.

First time we have stayed here. Can recommend units that face the ocean. The units are very clean, spacious and comfortable. It included an outdoor table and chairs, plus two outdoor lounges. Beautiful grounds that with bbq’s and outdoor showers.
