The place is a bit hidden but its location is perfect. it's not in the middle of the village but just a bit outside. You can easily go by foot to the village and look for a restaurant or take a walk. The house feels very cosy, very Austian with the wood. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
In the breakfast room you can eat a very good meal. Coffee is made for you, there are eggs, vegetables, bread, meat, cheese, yoghurt, ... in the afternoon you can also come to the breakfast room to drink a pint.
The rooms are spacious enough, the shower is a bit small bit it's enough to shower in. The view we had was on the river and it was nice to hear it. The rooms are also being refurbished so it is possible you might have a refurbished room or a room that has to be refurbished. All in all, it was a good stay!

A good place to stay

From start to finish I have nothing but good things to say about the Muhlbachhof and it's staff. The welcome was very friendly and a good deal of information was given without being overwhelming and laborious.
The location is just out of Alpbach village centre, meaning a slight uphill stroll to the nearest bus stop, but is by no means out of the way, and such a location does mean passing traffic is minimal.
Every aspect of the hotel we encountered was immaculately presented and well kept, from the room and bathroom to the boot room downstairs.
Breakfast was traditional fare, with a decent range of fruits, cereals, meats and cheeses.
Will happily go back with the rest of the family

Clean, welcoming and comfortable

We've stayed at the Mulbachhof every year at the beginning of February for the last 6 or 7 years and it's always a great and welcoming hotel. Lovely friendly staff, clean rooms and best when they have the log fire going in the reception ready for when you come back in from the cold :)

Always a lovely visit

Very comfortable room with comfy bed and views of trees and the sound of a stream outside. Well furnished. Plentiful breakfast with lots of variety. Franz led the walks and the views were stupendous. It was a wonderful stay

Lovely traditionally Austrian hotel with WiFi

Comfortable, quiet and spacious rooms here. I stayed a week and was pleased to see a sitting area in my room with couch, table and 2 chairs. The bathroom is clean and updated. There are plenty of wall power outlets. The balcony is very spacious and there are dividers between sections for each room. My balcony had a nice view of the forest and creek. There is a built-in balcony table that handily folds up to be out of the way plus a short clothesline under the balcony railing to prevent your clothes from getting wet from the rain. However, it does not get much air circulation in this spot. The balcony door and window both conveniently open out from side hinges as well as have the option to open a few inches from a lower hinge for air circulation only. The tv has one English language station - Sky News. The elevator is roomy enough for a few people and pieces of luggage. Breakfast was the typical continental breakfast however there were never enough eggs for everyone. This place is at the end of the lane and only a short walk to Tourist Info and restaurants.

Comfortable, quiet and spacious rooms

Rooms very traditional, lovely, warm and spacious, very clean. Huge balcony looking out over the forest. Breakfast average. Cereals / breads etc. Cooked  eggs only when requested. Location ok, just on the outskirts but fine nonetheless.
