Wonderful accommodations. We had our own spacious room with a private balcony that overlooked the valley. Beautiful maintained house and gardens 
Breakfast was wonderful and our eggs fixed to our desire. 
You need a car to get to this hillside B & B

Moreover, the owners give you the feeling that you are a guest at their house.

Only point to observe is that transport is needed as the town and main attractions are some kilometres away.

Excellent Option if you Look for a B&B

My wife and I stayed here April 7-9, 2014.  The lodging is just off a main highway on a hillside overlooking the lovely Danube River valley and the Alps on the horizon.  The place is well signed and easy to locate.  It is in a typical Alpine house of three stories with room terraces for enjoying the views.  The terrace had a partial roof which came in handy when it rained.  Despite being near a highway, there was little or no road noise unless we were sitting on the terrace.

The woman who manages the guest business was friendly and helpful and made us feel at home.

The bedroom has plenty of cabinet storage and other space. An adjoining room has a large sofa and access to a large terrace.  The bathroom was also roomy with a tub, shower stall and all other necessities.  One could not ask for more in comfort, but the floors (wooden) are quite squeaky and we tried to tread softly so as not to bother the family downstairs.

Breakfast was served downstairs in a nice dining area.  It was continental with an egg made to order.  The breakfast room is also open at all times for heating drinks.

Overall, we were well satisfied and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great views of Danube River valley

Great owners, amazing view, big cozy rooms, welcoming athmosfere, nice yard. Suitable for any type of persons. 
They do not serve breakfast during autumn and winter, but recommended us some great locations in Ybbs, a few km away.
 I truly recommend this pension to everybody that wants to enjoy a true austrian experience! 


The true austrian lifestyle

Our stay at this wonderful small hotel was shortened ( our choice...unfortunately!) by the non-stop rain and rising flood waters of the Danube. Our plan to bike along the Danube could not materialize and many roads were beginning to close due to high water!
The pension is GORGEOUS!  Set up in the hills, overlooking woodlands and fields.  We had a three room suite...bedroom,sitting room and spacious bathroom with tub and shower! Ample closet space, lovely linens etc etc. our balcony was huge with a swing and chairs that overlooked the countryside and fabulous grounds.  Unfortunately the beastly weather did not allow us to use this!
There is parking in premises and the grounds are gorgeous.
Breakfast was served in a delightful room and beautifully arranged.  Eggs were cooked to order,home-made jams and breads...
The young lady who was our hostess..Petra...I apologize if I did not get the name correct! could not be more pleasant or helpful. She even offered to do our laundry but unfortunately the rain did not allow for drying.
When we decided to leave one night earlier,she was totally understanding.  The floods were an issue for us since we had a long drive afterwards to Budapest.
We would love to revisit the Porranzl in better weather.  It is truly a find!!! 
However a car...or bike...would probably be necessary.  We intended to situate ourselves here and bike along the Danube and explore the lovely towns as we had in the past being based at that time in Vienna. The bike path was underwater. 
The pension is highly recommended...can find nothing to fault!  And an amazing price...
