Resident evil

We enjoyed the house and the also clean facilities very well (we knew there was no elevator, too). We slept well in the quiet environment, had a nice large balcony, the bed was comfortable. Very nice treatment also with our dogs, the host couple was restrained but friendly, the breakfast was simple but good and perfectly okay. Very good price-performance ratio, even with dogs! Negative: dogs were very well served in the hotel after dinner, but unfortunately, we never missed the dinner! Unfortunately, we never felt so sorry. This obviously referred to the two other guests who were there, and we could not immediately postpone the meal, and we just couldn't get them to leave our room.

Great, historic accommodation, but never eat there again!

We stayed here on our cycling tour of Italy to Ciclovia Alpe Adria. We like these old inns. The rooms were also large and old furnished. The comfort was enough to meet the demands. We slept quietly, there was hardly any noise from the main road. The staff and the manager were nice. The food was rather simple, but not cheap.

Your old inn in the village next to the church

Great kindness and great hospitality from the owner. She also speaks a little Italian. On her way back to Italy from Salzburg. Highway exit before Vilach. Beautiful path in the middle of meadows and hills. Perfect roads.

Finally we returned to the country guesthouse Tell in Paternion. At the top of our menu was a Martini-Gansl, following the custom of the time. The overture had to be related to the gansl. We decided on gansl-Sulz and gansl-Soup. The gansl itself, which was served with red herb, servetted noodles, fried apples, cherries and maroni, was tender and very juicy. The desserts were of different taste, with the addition of a gansl-Sulz, a rare thing we loved.

Tradition Served With Heart

The country inn Tell in Paternion is located in a 700-year-old building. It's very comfortable to stay here. The mistress of the house personally takes care of her guests' well-being.

It's cozy!

We arrived in Paternion in the late evening from Croatia, with heavy rains. Although we were on a quiet day, we were still pampered with Viennese schnitzel. The facilities were unpretentious and very cozy. We slept very well. The breakfast was plentiful and good. I can recommend.

Family hotel in Paternion

I have often visited the Tell, always with great satisfaction. Excellent cuisine and hospitality, characteristic and orderly environments, all immersed in a delightful village in lower Carinthia. I have known the family who owns and runs the hotel in the first person for years, all exquisite, attentive people and with that (not exaggerated) familiar touch that always makes you feel at home.

Excellent hospitality

We often go to the restaurant because on the CAAR and DRAURADWEG bicycle and when we go from Spittal to Villach we always stop here for lunch given the goodness of the culinary offer of excellent homemade cuisine (here the bratwürst are made at home) This time we also slept... In a perfectly furnished room of remarkable size (our daughter had a room only for her) and very comfortable.

Stop for a short break or stay

Comfortable rooms, friendly hostess unfortunately no internet available. Food in the connected hostel is cheap and very good. There is no elevator to the upper floors but there is a little too small parking space.
