The structure is a bit dated but has undergone a renovation already a few years ago that makes it still current. Overall it is particularly good the restaurant area where you can have breakfast and lunch with a wonderful view. I do not express judgments on the kitchen in general because we have not used these services except for breakfast. Regarding the latter, I would say that for an international/English breakfast, a little less if you look for the classic cup of milk and the hot cornetto (the latter is completely absent).

Interesting hotel for the panoramic location

Traditional Austrian cuisine, modern interpretation and very delicious cooking... on the terrace a great view of Lake Faaker.

Great cuisine and a great view of Lake Faaker.

The hotel is very familiar and lovingly run by the Schachinger family. Some rooms have a great view down to Faaker Lake. The rooms are simple but furnished with everything you need. The breakfast buffet is small but very fine with, among other things, homemade jam. On request, it is individually served. The restaurant has a menu with meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The food is very tasty and lovingly prepared with regional products. A must-have for every visit. We are happy to come back!

Great hotel and delicious restaurant

The selection of food on offer is exceptional (e.g. caramelised palate ham), the service is very attentive and the terrace offers a great view of the lake and the mountains.

Interesting menu

Decent rooms + very good, fresh and nourishing breakfast. The biggest advantage are the spacious balconies with wonderful view from the hill to the lake. They are located just above the trees. Disadvantage: the wi-fi does not work at balconies. Its range is very limited (almost to corridors).

Outstanding lake view from the rooms and restaurant

I spent one night in the middle of August 2014, coming back from a motorcycle vacation. We didn't notice any problems. The cost of the room is reasonable. The proper cleaning. The view is great but... only from the rooms overlooking the lake (we were lucky in this). For those who have to spend longer than 1/2 days.... the hotel is uncomfortable to walk to the lake and/or the centres of the neighboring villages.

View from Faaker See

Very friendly owners and excellent Austrian kitchen!! The view from the terrace is very nice. The rooms are average, beds were not so comfortable, bad mattresses, very small tv and the bathrooms would need some refurbishing. It is a bit further from the lake, so you need a car to move around.

Good kitchen and view but average rooms

Judging by the only restaurant with a panoramic terrace on the Faaker See. Good carnival cuisine, well prepared and with adequate portions. Average price. Fast and attentive service. If you don't know the language well, it's best to get advice from young waiters.
