We with my friend were in the hotel "Rockenschaub" in the beginning of January 2024. Some days the weather was bad but it was even good because we did not want to go outside this hotel. :)) It was very nice vacation in the very nice place! Very good atmosphere, very taste dishes, very comfortable saunas und great owners!

It was great!

My wife and I stayed here during Sept 23. We found the hosts to be outstanding. Plenty of personal moments where you realise these people truly wish to help and provide a first class service. A beautiful area, plenty of motorcycle parking in and out doors. Food and service excellent. We stayed for 3 nights and this became four having experienced a puncture a few miles from the hotel upon  departure. Along with the support of owners who helped arrange a local garage to replace the tyre  and collected the tyre for a reasonable fee to expedite matters. Along with a guest from Germany who was using the day as a resting day and helped translate English to German for the Austrian garage team. IF YOU WISH TO EXPERIENCE excellent service in all respects do not hesitate to choose this accommodation. 

Delightful experience

I stayed a night at the hotel and was absolutely blown away. 
This is how customer service should be done everywhere. Even before the stay, the communication was perfect.
Upon arrival I was greeted with a free welcome beer and was told I can leave the motorcycle in the purpose built garage. 
You receive all information related to your stay straight away. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, be it at reception, in the spa or the restaurant.
Food is very good as well and the hotel is located in a fantastic area. 
It boosts a spa with loads of free amenities. 
Overall, i was really blown away and loved the stay there. 
I thank everyone at the hotel for making me so welcome.
I will definitely be back.

Biker's paradise

Located in a charming village, this family orientated hotel has everything you can wish for, from a relaxing spa to a restaurant and bar. The rooms are modern, bright, clean and spacious and the staff are welcoming and professional.

A wonderful, modern and professionally managed family hotel

We just spent two nights here in a first floor room with a balcony. The room was tastefully decorated and clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and attractively decorated. Everything seemed new. In spite of the current heat wave, the temperature dropped at night so we slept well. Sitting on the balcony we enjoyed the pleasant view of the surrounding countryside. There were also loungers for sitting in the garden. We appreciated the presence of a kettle, mugs, tea bags etc in the room, which is not at all common in Austria. The wardrobe was rather short, my summer dress was too long to hang inside and there were no shelves for putting things in the bathroom so we had to put everything beside the wash basin. The foyer is most attractively decorated with so-called wild wood furniture. The staff and proprietors were friendly. 

We opted for half board. The evening meal consisted of salad from the bar (good and fresh) followed by soup and a choice of vegetarian or meat based main course. We chose the vegetarian options, which were ok. This was followed by a dessert, which was good. All dishes were attractively presented. A choice of four red wines were available to drink by the glass, all of which were good to very good and served with plenty of water. The breakfast buffet included a choice of scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon, ham, cheeses, home-made jams, pastries, jogurt, muesli and fresh and dried fruits. The range of muesli could perhaps have been better. The sauna area was quite good.

Absolutely wonderful stay here. Beautiful hotel, stunning views, wellness centre, great food, fantastic owners who took great care of us. Loved it!
