Stayed here for a short ski break with children. The hotel is out of the town and the views from the front are beautiful. The ski bus both up to Hochfugen and down to Fugen stops right outside which is brilliant. The hotel is basic, as expected for 3 star. The beds were very comfortable and the showers great. Aside from that there are few positives. There are no extractor fans in the bathrooms. The food was poor, self service buffet only of meat in sauce x2, rice or pasta, vegetables, salad. Really very flavourless and uninspiring. My children ate rice or pasta only whilst we were there, they are usually pretty good with food and adventurous with new flavours. The breakfasts again were basic, cheap cereal, bread, toast, boiled eggs and cheap hams and cheese. Nothing hot and exactly the same food every day, no variety at all. 
The staff were friendly, there is very little English spoken so I would say this hotel is much more geared to Austrians or Germans. The drinks with your meals are expensive, more costly than buying at the top of the mountains and being charged for tap water really was the final straw for my goodwill towards the hotel. I would 100% return to this ski region as it is brilliant but definitley would not stay at or recommend this hotel. 

Could be so much better

I recently stayed at the Hotel Hubertus. I was part of tour that selected the hotel.  I had high hopes as the youtube video made it look lovely. The hotel is freshly painted and I liked the look of the hotel. I was luckily, I had a double, but was single and my room was a nice size. My friend had a very small single and she felt closed in. I was on the back of the hotel and my room faced the woods. I saw that the views are  better from the front- looking down on Fugen.  I enjoyed my room, but found I had very noisy neighbors.  I could hear their conversations.  Breakfast was a pretty nice selection for a European breakfast. No eggs or cooked foods.  We had two  dinner meals at the hotel. I will say off the bat, that I am a picky eater, so I am not the best judge of food.  This hotel  reminded me of hotels I used to stay in when I used to ski.  I usually now stay in four star hotels.  The hotel is at the top of a  big hill, town is quite a walk.  The ladies from the hotel were very nice. There was only on plug in my room that I could find. Had to make a choice about what to plug in.

Could be the one, if you are looking for a three star hotel

We stayed here for a week in January 2016. We were very pleased, especially with the polite and helpfull staff. 
The food was fine, as expected for a three stars hotel. 
We had a beautifull view of the city, from our room. The room I Will container as being a normal sized hotelroom. I really likes the comfort in the beds. 
The hotel has wifi which Can be reached from a fem rooms, but is available in the hotel bar and restaurant.

Good Hotel

I was twice in this hotel and I come back with pleasure whenever I get the chance. I spent a New Year and summer vacation. Cleanliness is very good and the food excellent. The family asks handle this hotel is very friendly and always at your disposal. Most sincerely recommend this hotel.
