We stayed at Gastehaus Hofbauer for one night in May 2016. When we arrived there was a sign on the door with a phone number to call for check in. As we did not have a mobile phone we walked down the street where we found a family run winery / restaurant. After a great meal we had the server phone Gastehaus Hofbauer for us. Within 5 minutes the proprietor arrived and checked us in. Room was clean and comfortable although there was noise from the road. Breakfast was above average as in addition to the standard fare of cheese, meat and bread they included eggs cooked to your choice and homemade desserts.

Above Average Breakfast but Need Mobile Phone for Check-in

Excellent rooms with good size. Very clean with great view on the vineyards and close to Stift Göttweig. 
Nice breakfast buffet + Frau Hofbauer makes sure you really get what you want for your breakfast. 
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quite place outside of Krems.

Excellent, quiet with friendly staff

What a nice place with a great location amidst the vineyards. The views are great from the windows. Very near to krems and the other places along the Danube. The hosts were very nice. They gave us the room early upon our request. The breakfast is great too .
