Good Quality rooms, good kitchen, the place is run very well with nice attention to details. Very good bed, comfy pillows, spotless clean bathroom and toilet, polite and pro restaurant service.
A bit pricy, though, even in its class.

Fine family-run hotel in very good location

Came with friends to enjoy skiing and the gourmet restaurant. Five stars for both. We have been enjoying this hotel for 25 years now, never disappointed. Friendly, professional family business, a great example!Coming back next year as well!

Friendly atmosphere and gourmet kitchen at the foot of the mountain.

A cosy hotel surrounded by mountains. Very quiet place with many options for trips, friendly staff and delicious cuisine. We had a nice large room with the balcony. Hotel spa with three types of sauna.

Nice hotel surrounded by mountains

We stayed for two days for a skiing trip to Hochkar.  This is a family hotel at the base of the mountain.  A pleasant atmosphere, the building is a mixture of traditional and modern, super clean with sauna etc and excellent food (and indeed wine) - also very good value with a four course evening meal included in the half board price.  Strongly recommended for quality, atmosphere, location and friendliness.

Excellent quality and hospitality

Stayed 2 nights during the week as a base for skiing at Hochkar.    We were pleasantly surprised by the overall quality and high-level of service given that this isn't as much of a 'destination' (overnight) perhaps as other parts of Austria.    The hotel itself has 2 parts - the main building dating back to the 1300's and both tastefully remodeled and updated.   The food was excellent (amazing value) and the spa area very comfortable and nicely laid-out (with large windows looking out to nature).   Only 17 rooms so it didn't feel crowded, service was excellent, rooms are large with nice, modern bathrooms.   Also has a ski/boot room with boot-heaters.   10 min drive up to Hochkar lifts.   Highly recommend.

Very nice stay-highly recommend

We went there for family trip with my brother and dad. We got very warm welcome, with explanation how to move around the object.
FOOD: As we have arrived in the dinner time, we ate it straight away. Food is great, always fresh, with as many vegetarian options non-vegetarian ones - which was a life saver for us. The breakfast was very reach, with variety of cheeses, spreads, fresh pastry, meats, eggs and fresh coffee.
SKI: There was a free bus every day leaving 9:30 and going back 15:45 (they close the slopes at 16:00) - it took 15 minutes to get there. Ski area was almost empty, so we had slopes for ourselves.
SPA: 3 types of sauna and chill out zone.
SERVICE: Super friendly stuff, with great attitude, always smiled, speaks great English.

Excellent weekend stay.

We arrived and were greeted and checked-in by Dagmar, she is very nice and made us feel welcomed and comfortable.  We stayed in the annex in room 19, there are 2 bedrooms, a table and chairs around it.  The room has a stocked small refrigerator with some soda's, juice, beer, Campari and sparkling wine for purchase.  There is also a pot to boil water and an assortment of tea's provided.  The room is light and bright, very neat and clean, nice balcony with chairs and a table.  We had the half board which offered a breakfast buffet 7:30-10:30am, afternoon kuchen 3-4pm and 4 course dinner served 6-8:30pm.  The breakfast offerings were very nicely presented and offered a wide range of options including fruit, yogurt, nuts, meat slices & cheeses, wide range of bread, home made jams, tea, coffee, eggs and juice selection.  The dinners are absolutely delicious, well presented and so unexpectedly wonderful!! Highest marks for the food here for sure!!  Outdoor dining is possible and the terrace where they serve the food is peaceful and charming.  Free wifi is available to all guests.

There are a lot of activities in the area, hiking, walking, family activities...  Only 5 minutes away is a gas station and grocery store. Guests receive the Wilde Card as a part of the stay which offers reductions in prices for some activities and free rides on the Hochkar that is about a 15 minute drive from the hotel.  We had beautiful weather on the day we drove to take the Hochkar up the mountain, be sure even on nice days to bring a warm jacket and or windproof layer.  It can be windy up top and gets a bit cool.  There are a lot of paved and or easily walked trails and a restaurant to grab a bite and beverage.  I would highly recommend the trip up to the Hochkar for the views, fresh air and walking.  With the Wilde Card, there is free admission to the Mendlingtal Auf dem Holzweg - a walking tour of the timber industry history of this area that would be fantastic for families with young children.  The entrance is just a half block away and across the street.  This is a hotel I would definitely highly recommend and will return to if we are in this area again!!

Warm and Welcoming!!

We stayed at this hotel in June. After staying one night and finding the room too warm, it was no problem at all to change to a cooler room in the main building which was charming and comfortable. The dinners were delicious, as was the extensive breakfast buffet. The staff were very pleasant and the owner Dagmar had excellent suggestions on what to do in the local area.

Wonderful charming hotel stay

This wonderful hotel has become our "go-to" spot for years, as we live quite close and often have large groups of friends in all seasons.  Situated in charming Lassing, just 8 kilometers from Göslting an der Ybbs, this hotel sits at the base of the Hochkar ski mountain just above the Mendlingtal nature park.  You will not find a more charming, clean and friendly environment in the region.  The town is extremely quiet at night, and the restaurant is top quality, serving seasonal dishes with local bio fish, meats and veggies.  The dry saunas are immaculate and refreshing, and Göslting boasts a complete indoor pool and spa complex to chase away winter.  This is truly a place to unplug and re-energize, just a couple hours west of Vienna.
