I have been to Graz with my wife in January this year and needed a place to stay near the centre. As usual, most hotels were fully booked but we were lucky to find place at the Alter Telegraph. The older looks of the building worried us for a moment but, it turned out - we has no reason to worry. We got a vintage looking room with a very modern and comfortable bed, spotless clean bathroom and we enjoyed quiet rest after a day of running around Graz. The hotel is around 1 km by foot from the centre with the shortest route passing through the city park and slowly meandering down into the main Graz square. Breakfast served was good and the sole remark was about the parking which is some 200m by foot in an enclosed area. Then again, there are many hotels which have remote parking and this is nothing that should worry any future guests. The staff is polite, professional and friendly - going out of their way to help us by recommending best ways to do or visit things, even calling ahead for us to confirm reservations. Pricing is more than affordable and our experience very positive. Recommended!
