We lucked across here as a last minute ski trip. At first we thought it might be too far out but every day we found something even better about the hotel. We wished we could stay longer. It's set in a beautiful location. The home is amazing! There are people also in residence there. It's like a beautiful, huge cabin. The restaurant is in the same building but separate from the hotel. The rooms are very quiet. They are decorated simply but nice. Beautiful views. They also are at the top of a huge sled run. You either have to walk back up or someone in your group drives like we did. The hotel has sleds you can borrow. It took less than 10 minutes to get in to town and about 15 minutes to get to skiing. The family who runs it couldn't have been nicer.

Great surprise

What a gorgeous place.  It's a lovely winding ride up through wooded hills to this secluded gem.  Plenty of parking outside and we felt that our motorbikes were safe.  The building is beautiful and the views are just stunning.  The room was huge, with a large bathroom with sink and large shower and a separate toilet.  Plenty of storage room and a very comfortable bed.  Small balcony is a nice touch.  WIFI very poor - you have to sit on a chair on the landing in the main part of the building to get a signal!

The extensive menu is mainly pork based, which normally would be fine but I'd eaten roast pork the previous evening and we'd had smoked sausages on our baguette that lunch time so I really struggled to select something that was reasonably healthy (i.e. not the wienerschnitzel or melted cheese options) and not duplicating my previous 2 meals.  Hubby had the wienerschnitzel which he said was nice but greasy, and I ordered the Goulasch soup which was far too salty so I ended up eating his salad and a bread roll.  Breakfast was a rather nice lavish spread of breads, cereals, meats, cheeses, pate pots etc.
