Had a lovely stay here with friends, whilst cycling from Passau to Vienna. Olga was really friendly and helpful. The guesthouse is in a great location right by the Danube, with amazing scenery. We even saw a beaver in the river. There was a good dinner menu which was reasonably priced. I was pleased to see two vegetarian options, both were really nice, as was the honey cake. Bike storage was covered and well equipped with tools. Table tennis was also available. Breakfast was good with a decent buffet.

Friendly guesthouse in a great location

Marvellously situated next to the Donau river. Large bike garage. Good food at reasonable prices. Terrace with view on the river. Breakfast starts at a convenient 7.30 in the morning. Nice rooms. Pity there is no fridge in the room.

Wonderful place

We stayed here on our bicycle tour, whilst it is isolated they serve good food at very reasonable prices. The room was spacious, clean, with a balcony and views of the Danube. We watched the river cruise boats pass by. They have a bicycle garage and also offer camping on the grass out the front.

A hidden gem

One of the quietest places (if not the only one!) directly on the Danube in Austria - there is literally dead silence at night - so great after a day on a bike, no street lights, awesome views, not far from the fantastic Danube horseshoe bend Schlögen. Meals are great and the staff here is very friendly and helpful (Thank you, Olga!). Your children will love the playground with lots of toys, there are also one or two very friendly cats living here. Buffet breakfast included in the price is pretty nice. Arriving on bicycle you can park safely in the garage that gets locked for the night. Should you arrive by car there is a safe car park just next to the building. The place has about 30 rooms, they all come with a private bathroom, all rooms are upstairs, numbers 1 to 6 get a fantastic direct river views (four of these have a private balcony). The owners also run a pretty neat campground directly in front of the hotel.

Nice and quiet directly on the Danube

Good location on the Danube, albeit isolated and lacking in services.  We had to bike 4 kms up or downriver for lunch.  The inn restaurant serves breakfast and dinner.  Food was okay, dinner service was poor. Room was pleasant, but lacking in amenities.  There is a garage for bicycles.

Convenient to Danube Bikeway

We had one nights stay at this very peaceful and charming guesthouse. Food was excellent and the owners went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Room was lovely with a balcony and sitting area looking out over the river. Such an amazing spot felt miles away from everything

We stayed on the campsite for a night while cycling along the Danube. We were off season and the only ones on the site.
Very nice location, on the trail and right next to the river, good spots with electricity and clean shared facilities.


Good camping ground

This was the second time we stayed at this wonderful little hotel which is located on the waterfront facing the most famous part of the Danube--the "Donaueschlinge". Be sure to get a room with a balcony...so nice to sit there (even if it is raining) and enjoy the fabulous view and watch the cruise boats quietly moving around the curve of the Danube. A nice little restaurant with good prices, a good breakfast and very friendly staff.
