Booked through the Ischgl website and were lucky to come across the Hotel Garni Alpenblick! The Family Kruz are very welcoming and make a very relaxed atmosphere. We had room 115 which was ideal for 2 + 2 kids. It’s typical Tyrol decor with Austrian Twin in main room and 2 singles in the kitchen/diner. Might sound odd but it’s fine and we all slept well. Shower excellent. Quiet hotel in a quiet area of Ischgl but still close enough to walk to the A1 Silvretta lift in 5 minutes and easy for main restaurants and bars.

We had the breakfast which is excellent and in a nice breakfast room by the hotel reception.

We hired ski gear from Sport Adler near Silvretta  and stored it there so it was very easy to walk without carrying skis etc... especially with kids this is a must!! Also handy so you can go for a drink after skiing. 

We would definitely stay here again!

Great Tyrolean Guest House

Very large rooms, very clean, excellent breakfast, perfect position, everything for a good price! We were a group of 9 friend, the lady was very kind. We did not tried the sauna.

The hotel was lovely and Family Kruz were very welcoming and happy to help with any request (even asking her son to lend us a HDMI cable). Great!

I'll make note of anything I noticed for people wondering what the hotel is like as I couldn't find much information online when looking for a hotel in Ischgl

The hotel is on the far side of the town from Florianplatz - so be prepared to be walking for 30 mins if you have luggage to drag.
I believe there is a bus stop at the bottom of the road "maria" something (possibly Maria Schnee weg, as that is the name of the road), but I couldn't find any information about this. The hill up to the hotel can be a little icy at times, but a lot better than i expected! Just be aware of this

We got meinfernbus/flexibus from munich to Ischgl Florianplatz for 13.50 euro each way. excellent.
Otherwise it is a train to landeck-zams and the local bus from there.

If you decide to ski down the mountain at the end of the day, you can avoid the 5-10 minute walk to the A1 gondola (only that long cause you're in ski boots!) by taking a different route near the end (go down run 1 and keep left), and carrying on behind the hotels. You end up a bit further up from the hotel.
I chose to get the A1 down and walk, as the slopes get a bit cut up at the end of the day and there are lots of people.

NOTE: this is a CASH ONLY hotel. Annoying....
Most of the restaurants are too.

ROOM:
The rooms were lovely. We were a group of six - 1 large double with large balcony, 1 small double with small balcony and 2 singles.
The large double was excellent. It was a very big room, with a large sofa bed and the double bed was the size of two singles together (but one mattress). There was a lot of storage space for clothes (big wardrobe) and the bathroom was very modern. Big double shower and even a modern bathroom radio

The smaller double was also very nice, but wasn't as modern. We had a bath/shower, a standard double wardrobe, but the bed was still the size of two singles (two mattresses). This also had a sofa bed. The room was generally tighter packed, but with anything you might need. We used the balcony as a fridge and the radiator to dry clothes.
I didn't see the single rooms, but I'm told they were nice - with a shared bathroom.

There are new 1080p TVs in every room, but you must bring your own HDMI cable if you want to plug in your laptop. We couldn't get the chromecast to work.

SKI STORAGE:
Big "cellar" to put your skis in when you get back from the slopes and a heated boot rack. This was great.

There is a sauna and relaxing room in the hotel - this was lovely after getting back from a day on the slopes. Most families will go in naked - the way it is in europe - but noone commented on the fact we wore swimwear. Just be aware anyone else will be naked. 
We got in there around 5pm when most people were still at Apres, so we had the place to ourselves.

FOOD:
We found it to be bread and breakfast only. There was a big tv in the breakfast room showing webcams of the slopes and the weather forecasts - useful.
A wide range of cereals, dried fruits and things to add to muesli, scrambled egg, boiled egg, bacon, pate, toast, cheeses, cold meats, good coffee machine, selection of teas (fyi no english breakfast) and fruit juices. It was excellent. 
There is a small kitchen where they prepare the breakfast, but this is not accessible for guests to cook in.
Madam Kruz was very happy with us eating dinner in the breakfast room if we had purchased anything from Spar.
There is a "self-serve" beer tap. You put a mark next to your room number against which size/item you had. I believe there are also soft drinks.

We wished there had been food at the hotel, but no such luck. The spar is good enough that you can get some instant pastas and soups, lots of bread and meats etc. We brought a kettle from home so we could make such things.
Generally in town you can get pizzas from 10 euro. This is about the cheapest per meal unless you get the 6 euro Kebab.

All in all an excellent hotel, I would definitely recommend staying here.
