We stayed here with Inghams for a week in late Jan, and found this place delightful. The room was the largest we have ever stayed in when skiing, the staff were great- there is a lovely woman who serves the breakfast who has limited English but is the most pleasant and thoroughly helpful person you could hope for - these sort of things make a difference. The decor was clean and absolutely fine (I had read previous reviews of 70's decor, but I thought it was lovely!) There is about a 4-5 min walk to the high street which has its bonuses as it keeps it quiet. The only thing I would say (and this has nothing to do with Val Sinestra is that we booked evening meals through Inghams with another location - the Silvretta Sports Centre - the additional meals were ridiculously cheap which should have been a warning, as it was pretty awful. We cancelled after the first night and Inghams gave us a refund with no problems. But just to add that this has nothing at all to do with Val Sinestra, which was wonderful and fully recommended!

Huge room, lovely staff, great value for money - fully recommend!

What a great find! This place actually makes ischgl affordable to those on not such a relaxed budget. Our room No 1 was spacious with a little seating area & a lovely big balcony overlooking the slopes. This was especially fun in the early evening watching all manner of skiers attempting the treacherous icy descent. 

Our host was welcoming & the breakfast was more than adequate. 

I would stay here again!

Value for money in Ischgl

Top class B & B

2 daughters, son in law, husband and self stayed here for skiing. Main reason was they were able to provide a single room for my daughter. Pleasant staff. Breakfasts predictable but adequate. Rooms large and clean. Smallish thin towels but were replaced every day. Ample hot water in bathrooms. 

I caught a cold and would have liked hot water to take Lemsip but didn’t seem to be available except at breakfast time. 

Cost extremely reasonable

Excellent week for skiing

Such a lovely quaint B+B with charming traditional style. The location is perfect for accessing the slopes as you can ski straight to the front door! or a walk of about 50meters gets you to the ski lift. Central to Ischgl and within walking distance of lots of restaurants and the city centre. B+B wth traditional style and excellent personnel offering a family run boutique service - have booked again for this year.

Settimana Bianca / Ski week

Just returned from our annual New Year ski trip to Austria and this time we chose Ischgl. Don't like hotels with specific dinner times and the same clear soup/salad etc menu so always go for the Garni experience. 3rd time to Ischgl and probably the worst of the 3 visits! Why?

1. Room number 1 at Val Sinestra faces a short slope run into the town, murder for noise with boarders especially side swiping down the icy slope, and it has a snow cannon which was on from 9pm to 9am, ridiculous noise!

2. Breakfast is typical Austrian fare with cereal and lovely crusty rolls, ham & cheese and eggs, though no fruit unless out of a tin, coffee you could run a car on, and the lovely Tatyana, very helpful, not a word of English in her vocabulary! So a mixed bag!

3. Access at night is through the side garage door, annoying if in Room 12 due to the buzzing and slamming of the door according to our Son who had this single room

4. Hotel needs an uplift, very 70's! Though clean & tidy!

Ischgl itself is as good as ever, good points would be red run 80 into Samnaun in Switzerland and stop at the Smugglers Alms then buy Creme de la Mer underneath in a duty free shop ( cream is wife's not mine, and optional, though we always seem to end up buying it!
Birthday dinner at Lucy Wangs, lovely service, really good sushi.
Wouldn't eat at Trofana Alm again, Brakes Brothers springs to mind, frozen food!
Good shopping, and drinking and pizzerias!

Definitely needs more snow, lots of accidents due to icy conditions and moguls everywhere, especially on the blue slopes due to volume of traffic, and Russian skiers who have 1 lesson and this makes them an expert, be warned and alert, they come at you from everywhere!

All in all, a good time, but would recommend Garni Ida over this as far superior in comfort and newness
