This is the best value stay you can have in Kitzbuehel whether you are skiing for a week or exploring the town. They are literally right inside the town and a few steps from any restaurant or place you need to go. It's only 5 minutes to the world famous  Hahnenkamm downhill race lift. The breakfast is awesome with a huge selection of everything for a hostel with eggs fresh Dave's, the owner's, hens right on the property. Rabbits and ducks are so cute and running around the open space in the yard that puts a smile on every passing-by tourist's face. Dave is a very hilarious and very knowledgeable person, who is also very kind and helpful; he attended caringly our special needs during our stay. We cannot thank him more,  Look at the pictures for yourself. If a traditional hotel type of the stay is not what you require, you will be pleasantly surprised by such a gem of host. Strongly recommended!!!!

Great location, great value with a caring and hilarious host

This hostel is a quirky, unexpected gem! Don’t be perturbed that it’s a little rough around the edges - it’s clean, comfortable, and everything works perfectly, plus the staff are friendly, hilarious, chilled, and will always sit and chat with you in the common room. 

Brekkie: The kitchen and free breakfast are some of the best I’ve ever found in a hostel - five types of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, coffee, tea, biscuits, and best of all, fresh eggs are provided in the morning straight from their free ranging chickens and ducks! Which brings me to my next point - how charming to be greeted by a yard full of friendly chickens, ducks, and bunnies on arrival. Old Macdonald Had A Hostel, it seems!

Location: Absolutely perfect. Smack bang in the middle of town, barely 500m walk to the main ski lift, 300m from a supermarket. Also they have a partnership with a ski rental (Element3) so you can get a discount.

Vibe: The hostel has a ‘social-without-being-party’ vibe and you’ll be guaranteed to make friends and still get enough sleep. I went as a solo female and found ski buddies everyday. 

Facilities: The bathrooms are plenty (I never had to wait) and are cleaned daily. The WiFi and hot water works well. Rooms are warm and mattresses are comfy. Pillows are a little soft for my liking. Common room is snug and has a big TV with any channel you can think of. 

Security: Front door and rooms lock with a wristband swipe key. No lockers in the room but you can hire a small one for a fee.

A quirky and comfortable place to stay near the ski lift!

I was a solo traveller to Kitzbühel and Snowbunnies was the perfect place to stay. The staff and owner, Dave, were friendly and helpful - they even helped to glue my ski boot. It has a laid back vibe and is a nice place to unwind after a day of skiing where there are other guests to mingle with. The location is great as it is very central and is approximately a 5 minute walk to the ski lift. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a self service style continental breakfast in the morning and plenty of pots and pans for cooking. There was always hot water for a shower and a room to store ski/ snowboarding equipment.

Great budget option in the centre of Kitzbühel

As a first time solo skier, and a 30 something married guy who hasnt backpacked in 10 years, I was a bit worried about staying at a dorm. And I have to say for me, it was not only a good choice, it completely upgraded my trip with good pepole to talk to every evening, with some I even eventually skied during the day.

In general the facilites themselves are great for dorms - rooms and sheets are clean, kitchen is well stacked and big so everyone can use it, staff are super-duper friendly and will help with anything, vibe is laid back and non-corporate. The owner, Dave, is just awesome. You can tell his staff likes working for him.

If you are a solo skier looking for a place in Austria, I would say look no further - this is an experince worth having.

Great vibe, location, staff and breakfast.

It is difficult to find such a good location (for skiing) for this price in Kitzbüehle. The reception is adorable and good advice. The small signage signs have amused us. The room and the toilets are simple but clean. The kitchen allows you to prepare a meal. Here are the positive points! On the other hand, the common areas lack cruelly of conviviality (dark and crowded underground) and are much too small for the number of occupants. If it is not to meet other routers, you have no pleasure in spending time there. In conclusion, a place for routers not too demanding.

Well situated, good atmosphere but common parts to see

We were only in this hostel for one night. When you come in, you think you are entering a dark, smelly hole. Dirty carpet floors in the EC, in the 1st floor, the floor that the operator uses, a smell of cat pee. So disgusting. Dirty sink in the EC (blood sprayers), dirty sheets in the room in the EC!!! So next time I'd rather pay a few euros more to have it nice, even if it was only for one night!!! The kitchen is just as disgusting, we didn't use it.

Only stayed three nights but felt very welcomed from the staff. Dave was very fun and took us on a trip to the lake pictured. Beautiful area. Wish I could go in winter I’m sure it’s just as breathtaking. Great value for the area. Definitely stay here. If we hadn’t booked another place we would have stayed longer for sure.

Great spot

I stayed in December 2018 for snowboard vacation and had a lot of fun. Lord Dave brings a special atmosphere. Combination of rude jokes and kind attitude is awesome. If you’re easy adult person this is the right place to stay.
Facilities are good for the hostel. Breakfast is available and beer not expensive. 

Definitely worth staying for easy people 

Really enjoyed my stay at Snowbunnys. It was comfortable, clean and had a simple breakfast included in the price. Can’t fault the bathroom facilities, in fact they were perfect after a long day on the mountain. In the centre of Kitzbühel, it is an easy walk from the train station. We were warmly greeted by a lovely staff member even though we had a late arrival. It is a quirky place perfect for the relaxed backpacker who’s happy to stop for a chat in the common area. Would definitely stay again!

A friendly relaxed environment

The crevice in the entrance area is really disgusting - just like the whole floor (basement) you are in when you enter the house. Even the owner didn't really leave a good impression with us. It reflected the overall impression of the accommodation again. Since there are almost no rooms with a private bathroom, there is a floor bath for the guests to use. This is a little tricky anyway! Our room was okay, it was clean and we even (luckily!) had our own shower. Nevertheless, I wouldn't book this accommodation a second time!
