The most quirky place, but with great charm and the most lovely host imaginable.

Some of the clutter is a bit over the top, but everything is clean and all works well including showers etc.

Everyone has mentioned the breakfast, but did they say that King Charles and Princess Alexander used to eat at the same table you will have breakfast at?

The house was owned my the Mellon family as in BNY- Mellon.

A wonderful house with quirky charm and interest

We also had to find out in a very short period of time, after a very short wait, which would mean that we would have to wait for a short time to get to Kitzbühel, where our first group had to travel on Thursday morning to find affordable accommodation for 7 people. We also found Villa Mellon, which was the only accommodation with sufficient capacity, where we could not find at least 4000-6000€ as the total amount of accommodation in total accommodation. We also found that after a short wait until our scheduled vacation, we had to find out for ourselves which accommodation was affordable for 7 people in Kitzbühel.

Holidays in an antique shop

First night in a kind of warehouse, where there was not even room to support the suitcases (at the cost of 160 euros), we also provided for ourselves, finding under the carpet, a layer of spiders and spiders, with a finger of dust everywhere, we were transferred to a very large and bright room, with considerable potential (as long as the published photos are misleading, because they cannot highlight the hygienic conditions), with the promise of cleanings that were not even made after our explicit request. We then made provision for ourselves, finding, under the carpet, a layer of earth, dust and who knows what else.

Place with great potential rendered unlivable by the absence of a minimum cleaning standard.

A old villa located close to the centrum. It's like 10 mins walking distance to the center. View from the villa is pretty good. It is run by an old lady who was so kind to us. Room was clean and tidy. Although we had a private bathroom it was outside the room in the hallway. Rooms are not sound proof in anyway. Also there was no wifi at rooms. Only at the front door we had WiFi. Breakfast was good. Place has a lot of old junk items lying here and there. Value for money is very less as we experienced. 

Nice stay, but could have been much better

It's very disappointing when you realize that the photos posted online are far from reality. Why? A small room, drowned in a strange mixture of objects of all kinds. Clean side: all the dust that dates, (asthmatic abstinence), uncleaned carpet, moisture smell, worn, almost grey, unchanged bath towels. In the messy corridors of personal affairs, a large garden with a swimming pool but here too many bulky objects next to a multitude of objects of all ages. Funny museum! Why don't you see them in the photos?

Disappointing

Unfortunately we couldn't make our trip to Villa Mellon - but I still want to write a review because I'm very happy with the service around the cancellation. The staff were friendly, kind and incredibly fast! Really great!! I hope we can make a new trip at another time.

Super service.

It’s a kind of place people love or dislike. But as we talked a bit with the other guests, every body there truly loved the place.
It’s more a museum, a private collection of stuff but it’s also full of charm and history.
We stayed in the top floor bedroom which was a bit small and cramped but enough for one night. And anyway, that was the only available. 
Good breakfast with eggs cooked to your liking.
It’s only a ten minutes walk down the town for a drink, a dinner or simply a stroll...
A unique place indeed.

A very personal b&b

There's a super special location and fascinating things to discover. The host is very nice and price-performance-friendly to recommend. Everything was clean and the pool is big enough. A hotel you'd like to visit more often.

Great. Let's do something else.

We have just spent one night at Villa Mellon and agree with most other people that it is full of clutter, unbelievably so, but what's most important is that it is very clean, we had the best sleep, the best shower and the best breakfast at Villa Mellon.  Rosemary the hostess is very pleasant and can't do enough for you at breakfast time, cooks you eggs to your liking, and pours your coffee.  It is in a great location to walk into the lovely town of Kitzbühel.  We were in Room 5 and it was very large, considering the number of couches, chairs, lamps and cushions that were in the room.  I shall add some photos.  Highly recommend this as a "quirky" experience

Don't Judge a Book by its Cover 

Although the owner is a lovely friendly lady ,I'm afraid she needs to retire.
The photographs on the Booking .com website must be 10 years or more out of date as the whole place is cluttered with a collection of antique furniture,cups saucers glass wear pictures ,stuffed animals ect.
You expect the Munster Family to appear,any moment.
Our room was big and roomy with a great veiw of the swimming pool and hills.
The breakfast was plenty and freshly cooked ,to order.
Very quite but overpriced as service not existent. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
The houss is very historic.
It needs a good overhaul.
