We've been to the Schafberg Pension twice already, and each time we've been very warmly welcomed and felt at ease! The breakfast buffet leaves no wishes open and is very regional. Besides, you can ask the hoteliers for all kinds of information about the area!

Comfortable Guest-friendly pension

Good mid-range boarding house with very friendly accommodation and a good room with balcony. Everything pleasant and suitable for skiing holidays. Quiet location. Beautiful single balcony. Quiet room. Good connection to the ski area and optimal for walking even once two or three hours in the snow.

wonderful skiing holidays

We spent three days at the Schafberg Pension for a strolling holiday. The pension was perfect for us. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast was delicious, the owners were very friendly, and the infrared cabin in the basement was ideal after a stroll. At night it was absolutely quiet, so even the Oropax did not come into use. The train is perfectly located to explore the Lechquellganger. The rewarding stroll on the Schafberg can be started right at the pension, just like tours to the Spuller Lake. Right at the pension also passes the trekking bus, with which one can also take some other tours towards the Formarin Pension. Also, for a good evening's sitting on the lake is provided. If we can go fishing in the area and go to the lake, we can go to a very nice pension, which is situated beneath the lake. If we can go to a very nice pension, we can go to a very nice place and go to a very nice walk on the lake.

Pure recreation, ideal starting point for hiking

We booked this hotel through Bookings.com with the understanding they accepted pets.  When we arrived, they claimed they had been trying to change that filter for a year (although the brochure in the room still indicated they accepted pets).  They were extremely unfriendly, and my husband and I felt so uncomfortable that we felt forced to find another hotel. Unfortunately, the only hotel we found during a busy ski weekend was in Warth which was 2.5 hrs away. The upside is that although we had such a terrible experience at the Schafberg, the new hotel was fabulous and we were still able to ski the Alberg mountain range.

Terrible Experience

We can only recommend this breakfast guesthouse, very good location for skiing and hiking, 80 meters to the bus station, rooms and bathrooms are large enough and very clean, our room had a balcony with a great view. The hosts are very friendly and very helpful, the breakfast buffet is rich and varied with great variety of fresh breads, everything is for comfort and the price-performance ratio is also true.

Friendly, family friendly and cozy

From 5 July to 25 July 2014 we had one 3-bedroom including breakfast in Pension Schafberg. The pension is located in a very quiet location just 1 minute from the bus station to the train station. Our rooms were equipped with a beautiful bathroom including bath and shower. Mr and Mrs Walch are very friendly and helpful. The whole pension and our rooms were very nice and very clean. Below the ground floor there is a beautiful sauna with restroom. We also enjoyed the superb breakfast. Everything you needed was there. From the front door you can make very nice walks and mountain tours. Also the forest swimming pool is easily accessible by foot or bus. From the Pension we will definitely come back to Schafberg in the future.

Located in the suburb Zug but very well connected to Lech by public bus. The owners are extremely friendly, breakfast buffet great, rooms absolutely clean. Great location to start your hiking or skiing tours and enjoy total silence during the nights.
