We had another wonderful week with the whole family in the Forsthofgut! The FHG is a wonderful hotel and a wonderful place to relax for the whole family. The very tasty furnishing style is reflected in all areas of the hotel and we like it very well. We had the opportunity to see for ourselves how Mrs. Schmuck decorated her hotel for Christmas and decorated the tanning tree in the newly designed lobby. Friendliness and hospitality are lived by the owner's family and all the staff. Despite the size of the hotel, there is a family, personal atmosphere. Our children (2Jh.4J) were addressed to families on the first day. We have been greeted with a back to back, to serve a few activities, the elderly also has a special place for us at our parents' breakfast, and now we have a super-exciting place at the next morning's breakfast, and we've been able to enjoy the warmth and warmth of our children's breakfast, as well as we've been able to enjoy a super-exciting place at our granddaughter's and granddaughter's breakfast.

A wonderful family vacation in the Christmas season

It was an incredibly great hotel for the whole family! Everyone was thrilled with the hospitality and the extensive offer. Especially the Advent curtain was tied to Mrs. Schmuck! We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, the forestry department has lost its good times. Where previous, countless visits have always fitted everything perfectly together, from the service to the personal note, now after the renovation and several price increases, the flagpole has ended. Arrogant reception staff, poor service, no answer when calling RoomService, cold egg dishes,... the list is unfortunately long... if the price is in the *** range, fine. The forestry department plays cheaply in the ******s league, and that is unfortunately not true in the price-performance ratio.

No return after many stays

We had a wonderful 7-day stay at the Naturhotel Forsthofgut in Leogang, Austria. We chose the hotel because it has horse riding facilities on the hotel grounds, and our daughter was very excited to take lessons every day.

We booked our stay directly through the hotel website, and the booking process was easy and efficient. However, we had a very strange experience when trying to book and pay for a bigger room after initially booking a smaller one. After many emails and phone calls, we were unable to upgrade our room even though bigger rooms were still available on the website. People at the hotel said or emailed that they would come back to us, but never did. This was the only negative aspect of our experience, and it was very disappointing.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were warmly welcomed and checked in very efficiently. We were given a beautiful room overlooking the pool, which was perfect for our family.

The food at the hotel was excellent, both the breakfast buffet and the dinner options. We also had lunch at the on-site Japanese restaurant once, and we loved it. The staff throughout the hotel were all super friendly and helpful.

My daughter had riding lessons every day, and she loved them. The horses and instructors were world class. She learned so much and had a fantastic time.

The hotel also has a working room, which has a nice set up but isn't entirely private. The office is also regularly used for staff briefings and events, so it's not always accessible. If you need to work remotely, there is another hotel 200m away where you can book an affordable room with good internet.

Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Naturhotel Forsthofgut. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are amazing, and the food is excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other families, and we plan to go back ourselves in the future.

Be sure to book riding lessons for your children in advance, especially if you're traveling during peak season.

Mountain holiday

We had a lot of Dutch, German and Eastern European guests booked, we had a Lebensquell-Suite. The view of the lake house and the swimming pool was great. The suites in the EU have direct access to the Park/Lake. This is certainly great in summer. The suite was modernly furnished. We were uncomfortable with the move. The rooms near the stairs are very bright, as the noise of our spaces is really heard from the top to the bottom. The rooms were always very intimate. The family rooms are so intimate outside, but the spaces between the spaces are never so wide. The spaces of the family rooms are unfortunately so wide, although the spaces of the spaces are unlike the spaces of the spaces, the spaces of the children's room and the spaces where we are staying are located, and the children's room and the children's room are located.

Instagram vs. the real world

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this truly wonderful hotel. We rated it 5 stars across the board, from the facilities to the staff. The setting is also stunning, with the surrounding mountains providing a wonderful backdrop.
At the end of most days we were treated to a different sauna ritual - our favourite being the schnapps and beer version!

Wonderful Naturhotel Forsthofgut. An experience not to be missed!

Most amazing place. Everything was even better than the photos. Such a good atmosphere and a high standard all over, both rooms, food, facilities etc.
They offer a lot of different classes in the gym. We were so lucky to have a class with Roman, the spa and fitness manager. He was super friendly, service minded and very skilled. Also we joined him for the morning walks, where he explained about the area. 
We will for sure recommend this paradise, and we hope to be back soon 

Paradise

We have already been very friendly and were the first to show off the whole complex very competently. The hotel has offered everything for us - wellness and treatments for adults, a swimming pool with slides for all ages, children's rooms and care, as well as a large outdoor area with animals, playgrounds for the little ones, very tasty food for everyone and an excellent bar for the evening for two. Not to mention the friendly, competent and friendly staff at all times - a successful stay.

Relaxing Family Vacation

We enjoyed our family holiday in Naturhotel Forsthofgut! Everything was excellent, from the service, the food, excellent wine list, SPA/welness facilities, kids club, yoga, HIT lessons.... We will come back! 

Perfect get away (also) in summer with our family!

Our first visit, but definitely not our last. They clearly have a laser focus on customer service. Extremely family friendly place, especially if your children enjoy swimming.
Delicious food also and the range of options each evening which are great.
The surroundings are stunning and we loved a trip up the mountain in the gondola which was 5 min walk from hotel.
If I had to criticise, and it is difficult, I would propose that there is maybe one English speaking newspaper amongst the daily range offered. 
Also, whilst I know AC is being fitted, the heatwave was tough for some guests and especially for the staff in their dirndls. Lastly, charging for tap water in the evening meals is a bit annoying, but I fear this is standard practise for this price point. Again, these are tiny tiny negative observations against a sea of positive, so please keep it in perspective.
All in all a highly polished operation and one we will certainly revisit in the winter.
