We were a group of 11 people and stayed there for 8 days. We were really excited about the breakfast, as it had positive reviews, and it influenced us as well when choosing this location. In fact we ate salami and 1 boileg egg/ person every morning (the eggs were actually counted). This is ok if you stay there for 2/3 days, but not 8. At one point we asked for an omlet instead and we had to bring our own eggs. We also bought vegetables for every morning as one might get sick of having salami and bread on a daily basis. We had to choose between coffee or tee, eirher one or the other one?! Although we read that the location is smelly... we did not see it coming that bad. It was impossible to freshen up the rooms. Clearly the owners do not care, as everyone complains about it. Even the towels and the ski boots stank. They have a dog that seems quite dangerous and roams free around the house, and you receive only a warning not to touch it when checking in. There was a misunderstanding with the reservation as the owners do not speak/understand English and in the end they wanted to charge us for a double room instead of a single one. They did not seem willing to cooperate or to try to find a solution, but made us call booking customer service to fix it. Taking into account how many nice accomodations you can find nearby, this is a location to be avoided, we will certainly not return.

Pension Grieslehen is a pleasant, simple place to stay. Rooms are not modern, but they are clean. Beds are ok, but somewhat short (not very comfy should you be over 190 cm tall). There is a common area where breakfasts are served and guests are welcome to spend evenings here. One can drink/eat own food and borrow dishes, but it is not possible to cook own meals. It is located nearby Leogang - by car only a few minutes, but on foot it takes around 45 min to an hour (it is not possible to follow the main road as there are no sidewalks and the walkable road is longer). If you come in winter, you can take skibus to get to the slopes. It runs twice per hour in the main season. Owners are extremely nice and very forthcoming. We came with a toddler - conditions were good for staying with a child (they do have a kids bed, but no "high" chair for feeding). Breakfasts are included in the price and were superb. They do not speak English here.
