Exactly what we were looking for and then some. Instead of just a room we got a whole apartment  with a balcony with a wonderful view. Would love to come back.
All the modern conveniences are available.
Lots of room everywhere including the bathroom with shower; toilet is separate so that visitors don' t have to go through your bedroom. When you rent as B&B it comes with a great breakfast. The owner was very concerned and figured we hadn't done the breakfast of egg, assorted ham and cheese, an assortment of breads, jam yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, milk and choco powder any justice; way more than 2 seniors could handle. 
Would be a great longterm holiday rental for two people. We felt really at home. There are also some good restaurants within walking distance and room for parking a car.



What a lovely surprise

Stayed in Matrei, in Haus Mattersberger in the beginning of November, on a short Rock climbing trip to the areas around Matrei. The apartment was furnished with everything you need, starting from a Microwave and Dishwasher to a LCD SAT TV and free Wireless LAN. 
The apartment was clean, and well maintained. I loved the huge bathroom which was tastefully furnished with floor heating. The apartment has centralized heating and has a small balcony facing south east. Unfortunately, the balcony faces the main street which can be quite loud if you’re sensitive to noise with an open window. Nevertheless, the bedrooms are situated on the other side of the house.
The owners were very friendly and found us a nice spontaneous alternative to what we were looking for. Supermarkets about 400m away, and a “2 Hauben” Pizzeria is also just within a 5 min walk away.
One star minus for the balcony facing the mainstreet but otherwise everything was ok.
