Clean, great breakfast and very friendly staff! Visited for 2 nights for a wedding. You can walk everywhere from the hotel’s location and ski lifts are only a 6 minute walk away (pretty sure there was one closer too). 

Stephanie, who I believe is one of the owners, was so helpful and always had a smile on her face. Lovely to chat to. 

Would definitely stay again when visiting Obergurgl.

Great value for money. Excellent location.

My son and I stayed at Haus Verwall for a week at the very end of the official ski season and the Obergurgl region.
We had a double room (no. 8) with a south facing balcony so we could sit in the late afternoon sunshine and look up the valley to the mountains.
The room and whole accommodation has been recently refurbished to a very high standard and was perfect for us. 
We were only a short walk from the slopes (ski in/out) earlier in the season for sure, approx 100m from an excellent ski hire shop and supermarket, restaurants and bars only a little further away. In my opinion it’s the perfect location.
The breakfast is truly awesome and just what you need to start your day with so much choice including freshly cooked eggs to your liking every morning you can’t go wrong.
Our host Stefanie was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and when I managed to leave a rucksack in a gondola she called the lift people and ticket office for me to help try and locate it. (recovered the following day)
In summary a thoroughly enjoyable holiday, truly wonderful place to stay and somewhere I would definitely recommend. 😃⛷👍

April 22 Ski Trip

My 3 sons, a friend and myself stayed at the Verwall during the first week of February and we had a very enjoyable stay. Our 3 bedroom apartment was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choice.The position of the Verwall was in a great position for virtually skiing in and out, 100 metres from a good ski shop and only a walk away from the restaurants. Stephanie was a charming host and made us very welcome. We look forward to re-visiting.

Very enjoyable stay

We had the pleasure of staying in this family-oriented, guest house recently. The simple rooms were comfortable and economical and the breakfast and welcome from the host Stefanie were superb. You can ski to and from the door and it's a sort walk in the evenings to nearby restaurants.

Spring Ski for a Family of Beginner/Intermediate Skiers

Such is modern life, we always seem to be on holiday :) This is however the nicest place we have ever stayed as a family. Superb location, so near the slopes, and very comfortable rooms. But what sets this place apart is the wonderful service and hospitality of the host, who catered to our (many!) needs and made the visit a joy from start to finish. We are based in the US but will definitely go back. Outstanding!

Outstanding

We stayed at Verwall through our booking with Esprit ski holidays and were pleasantly surprised at the level of service by both Esprit and the chalet staff. The property is not a luxurious one and if you are prepared for that you won’t be disappointed. The rooms are well-sized and spacious. The bathroom is basic with a toilet, shower area and basin and again decently-sized. The great thing about booking with Esprit is that the service is flawless right from breakfast to the kids ski lessons, childcare, club activities ending with high tea for the kids and dinner fo the adults. A major plus for Verwall is that it is superbly located with easy access to the ski slopes.  The reason why we will be staying here again. 

Well located

Very friendly staff make this a great place.  Good food, adequate accommodation.  Rooms have shared bathrooms (which is fine), but some of these are only accessible through someone else's room (which is not so hot).

Firstly, I would to thank Marcus (Chalet Head Host) and his team for being really good and making the stay at the Verwall incredibly enjoyable.  The food was very good and enjoyable. The team were all very helpful and always answered our questions and if they didn't know, found out very quickly.  

The Chalet does need a bit of work doing to it as our room had a little bit of mould in the walk-in cupboard were water was obviously causing a problem, but there wasn't much so may have been a recent issue which I am sure would get fixed in the close season. Also there were no keys in our room to secure the door while the children slept (at 3 years old they can easily open a door) having said that there was always someone say by the front door in case one of the made an escape attempt.  The Chalet owners were incredibly nice and actually changed the doors lock barrel to give us a key to secure the door. The doors themselves are secured from the outside with an electronic key pad so they are secure from the outside. The Wi-Fi whilst free for guests is laughably unreliable, which while sometimes frustrating isn't to much of a problem.

The childcare arrangements were superb, and the team were very friendly and accommodating with virtually every request we had.  The ski lessons for the Spritelets were great, but might have been better served in the mornings when the children had more energy rather than after lunch when they've blown off too much steam. Or little one although played up when we tried to leave her, or if we saw her in the afternoon, was quite happy and by the end of the week was talking about friends she had made and which teacher she liked the best with Kayleigh and Izzy cropping up a lot in conversation.

Obergurgl as always is a great resort.

Again, thanks to Marcus and his team, and some bloke called Chris who said he was resort manager. 😉

We will be back and happily with Esprit.
