Simply wonderful stay:
The completely new rooms are elegant in a greatly authentic Austrian way: Reduced to what is needed, wonderful materials, no overload with decorations or technology (beautifully simple old-style light switches instead of those overloaded touch screens), very spacious baths: Lovely.
Very friendly owners and staff, all of them with an open, friendly and personal attitude.
Food: simply great!

Wonderful stay - One of my very favourite hotels in Tyrol

Recently  renovated to create a chic, modern but sympathetically designed small boutique hotel. 

The excellent restaurant headed up by Chef /owner Maximilllian sets itself apart  from the rest of Obergurgl with original and freshly prepared food offerings. The restaurant elevates dining to more of an art form.

 The majority of Obergurgls hotels subject you to endless courses of lacklustre fare, here you are presented with thoughtfully prepared  dishes of exceptional quality, ensuring first class meals. We particularly loved the fresh asparagus- both green and white  & langoustine risotto.

My daughter is gluten free, and they went to enormous efforts to make nice but gluten free meals for her. 
Annelise, the Maître D' and Barbara the owner go out of their way to provide a personal service. 
The hotel is right on the slopes and location is as good as it gets.

The Grunerhof is an absolutely fabulous family-run hotel. Recently renovated, the interior design is wonderfully done with all natural materials used. They have indeed hit the spot with alpine modernity. Our room was spacious and in keeping with the rest of the hotel - extremely well appointed and super clean. 

We were in Obergurgl to ski and the location couldn’t be better. A couple of strides from the bottom of the piste to the door of the hotel & a very short walk to the lift station. Perfect.

Finally the family & team at the hotel were so welcoming and went over and above to make the stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The food was exceptional both breakfast and dinner - Maximilian certainly has high standards! 

Can’t recommend the Grunerhof enough - we will be back.

A fabulous hotel

Very spacious studio apartment directly opposite the piste with friendly owners and staff.
Very quiet at night.
Apartment had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable with great views and a balcony.
Free private parking on site.

Location, location

Me and mum went for a short break just before Christmas. It is ideally located for the gondola but isn't quite ski in and ski out. The apartment was nice and cosy. The best thing is that they had BBC 1!
