Puchberg Am Schneeberg

Located near the train station on the road to Losenheim. Large garden with swimming pool and beds. Rooms are very quiet and also have a balcony. Bathrooms with shower and TV are available, a refrigerator can be rented. Breakfast is plentiful with mainly local products. The operator of the boarding house is very friendly.

Very familiar

The owner has a very bad attitude, she wasn't welcoming at all, and she doesn't like dog either. 
The rooms and the furniture looks look really old and basic. 
Probably it was the worst accommodation I have ever experienced.

Back to the 60'

Probably we were in another place with the same name as we had no such a bad experience as some reviews indicated. We booked it one day before for 16/18 August when ALL the other gasthause and almost all hotels were already booked. So we had two single rooms as the last rooms for 2 nights for 150 Euros with breakfast. Seeing before the other prices for this holiday period, this price was very good.
We had no problem with the furnitures, the beds were ok, the rooms, too. The landlady were kind and helpful, she asked whether we would like to go to the Schneeberg by train and she advised to use the hotel bill as a voucher to buy tickets cheaper. And we did!
The breakfast was OK, basic, but this was really good basis for the mountain trip for us. 
Very easy walk from the train station, the train just passes at the end of the garden.
Should we our friend/family members would come to Puchberg, this place could be again a good place to stay. Yes, this is not a fancy high-tech hotel, but the wifi was still reachable at the top floor, and the old furnitures may also indicates that the carbon is still stored in the wood and the carbon footprint of this house is nice, as they can be used for decades :)

Good location and reasonable place to stay

Unfortunately, the room and especially the shower cabin were very small, the water was very cold in the morning, the boarding house was very cold, the breakfast was also on a scale, unfortunately, we had to decide the day before whether to drink tea or coffee, both were not well seen,

Poor breakfast and cold water

Poor quality price ratio. Very old fashioned boarding house, bad bathroom, bad smell, old-fashioned bed (don't forget your antihistamines if you need to). The photos of the hotel are too flattering. Average reception. The only good thing is the location and free parking.
