My wife and I came to Salzburg lasy weekend for a wedding and we were fortunate to find this pension. It is really very well situated, 0.7 miles/1.2 Km from the Cathedral, located next to a bus stop and is easily accessible from the airport either by bus or taxi. The hostess is a good, honest and very helpful person who kindly let us deposit our bags before the check-in time. Everything is clean and neat, the bathroom is well laid out, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is excellent.It's also warm and quiet.

We stayed here for four nights in the middle of July; the hostess and her mother are very accommodating and particular, genuinely wanting you to have an excellent stay, which we did.  She advised us to book a cheaper room at the rear of the property as we had requested a quiet room, the room was a bit smaller than the original one that we booked but was fine for our stay as we were out all day.  The location is okay, one of the main reasons I booked was because there is a free car park but it is a good 15-20 minute walk to the old town and in the opposite direction there are a couple of decent restaurants but again it is 15 minutes by foot.  The breakfast was excellent and after the first morning, the hostess remembered what we drank and ate; the service really was first class.  She also loaned us a guide book in English, which was useful and there are quite a few umbrellas, which you can borrow for free. I would happily stay here again.

Outstanding Host & Excellent Breakfast

It is with great pleasure that we recommend this wonderful hotel. This hotel was by far our favourite place that we stayed at, during our overseas holiday.

Firstly, the rooms are incredibly maintained, very new and exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast at the hotel was plentiful and was a highlight of our day.

The best part about staying at this hotel was definitely meeting our amazing hosts. The owners of the hotel were incredibly hospitable. They went to great measures to make sure we were comfortable and had all the information we required to explore Salzburg and neighbouring areas. 

The beautiful hosts made sure we enjoyed our breakfast experience by cooking beautiful fresh eggs in the morning, remembering what we liked to drink and the specific fruits that we favoured. 

They truly are exceptional, incredibly helpful, hospitable and a real credit to the hospitality industry.

We will definitely remember our wonderful experience at this amazing hotel and we will miss the two beautiful ladies, our wonderful hosts, very much!

Amazing Hotel

We stayed two nights. The lady and her mother do anything to make the guest happy, it comes from the heart you can feel it! The room and especially the bathroom are newly renovated. The room is absolutely spotless! The breakfast has for a Pension a nice choice. The city is only 10min by walk via the river walk from the city. Thank you so much, we enjoyed it a lot!

Wonderful 

The room was impeccable, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was typical yet so well presented, with a warm egg dish offered in addtion to the cold continental standards. The location beside the river walk made for a pleasant 15-20 walk to the Old Town centre. Try and book a rear facing room as the Pension is located on the main road, at an intersection, so it can be noisy.

A wonderful pension in every respect !

We had a great three-night stay at this hotel.  The room was spotlessly clean and the owner worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect.  She was very patient with us when we had to ask her to come to the second floor to show us how to unlock the door, and again when we had to ask her how to operate the shutters!   The breakfast was good and plentiful.  The only downside was that the standard room that we had was on the front of the hotel overlooking the traffic lights on the main road, so there was some road noise.  We found that closing the shutters helped to dull the sound, so it didn't cause us a big problem, but if you are a light sleeper it might be worth booking a slightly more expensive room on the back. The hotel was within walking distance of the town centre, but was also on a bus route.  We bought a Salzburg card from the Tabac on arrival at the railway station and it saved us an absolute fortune.  It covered lots of attractions, including the trip up the Untersburg, visit to the Hellbrunn Palace, Mozart's birthplace museum and lots more,  as well as all public transport throughout our visit.   We had a lovely stay in Salzburg - many thanks to Pension am Eschenbach.

Wonderful host and great location

Location is very good, around 10 minutes on foot to old city and fortress. The rest is average. WiFi could be better. Maybe a bit overpriced, but I suppose location justifies the price.Good for couple of days.

Good location

The Position am Eschenbach is a perfect location for visiting Salisburgo, the centre can be reached by a short walk.
It has a free private outdoor parking too.
The room was clean and nice. We just experienced a bad humidity smell in the second day of our stay.
Unfortunately there is no lift.
Staff is lovely and kind, always ready to help. 
Nice breakfast.
